We travelled via Euro Star and Car and arrived with very little and our 5 month old baby .

We had a great stay, shopping nappies, food and toys were all waiting for us with a warm welcome

We took advantage of the evening meal and breakfast and they were great, local info was to hand and we even got Fresh eggs.

The cottage really is small but beautifully formed and even better if it is cold enough for the long burning stove.

Plenty of things to see in the area and if you don't want to travel just stay in the cottage, enjoy the gardens and go for local walks.

This is a charming, cozy gite with a wonderful hostess and host. The gite is very clean and the hosts were available to answer any questions about the surrounding area. The countryside is beautiful and the stars at night are absolutely brilliant. The location is perfect for visiting the chateaux of the Loire Valley. The French people were friendly. We had a wonderful time.

This pleasant gite is operated by a lovely, generous family.
Arriving late on a Sunday, after several hours driving to be met with orange juice, wine, milk, cheese, bread, butter and jam was our initial contact with this thoughtful management.
Pleasant walks, rewarding bike rides and many fascinating towns and villages a short car trip away made this one of our favourite places during a month's touring in France.
Local produce is available from the farms close by - what a treat!

My partner and I have just got back from a fantastic 10 day stay at Les Limonieres. The hosts are so welcoming and charming - without being too ott, they immediately make you feel welcome and relaxed. We stayed in the small idyllic cottage 'Chene', which really does look like it should be on a film set! The place was absolutely spotless and so well equipped. The refurbishment the owners have done on the whole place, particularly Chene, I would describe as clean and contemporary, but whilst also being stylishly practical. It was pretty warm whilst we were there, but the stone cottage provided a beautifully cool space to retreat too. The owners also operate a small gardening business, which from the look of their gardens I am sure they're going to do well at...not only are there fantastic flower beds, but there's also an absolutely stunning vegetable plot with chillies, courgettes.....and more varieties of tomatoes than I've ever seen before!

We travelled without a car, which was pretty daunting at first, but it was something we wanted to try for environmental reasons. The Eurostar from London and TGV from Paris to Tours are very straightforward, and there are local busses that you have to be prepared to take when you can. But it's all doable. The owners did give us a lift a couple of times as they were going in to the village, but we were happy to walk and cycle most of the time. If you get the train to Tours and really wanted a car, you could hire there.

We really had a lovely time at this place and would definitely recommend.

This is a marvellous, relaxing place. The house (we were in Searle) is spacious, equipped with everything you might ever need, very comfortable and stylish beyond compare. The hosts are obliging and gracious but understated. There is lots to do in the area (bike-riding, caneoing, river swimming etc) and Le Grand-Pressigny is a pleasant village with everything you need.

Highly recommended.

We were the first to stay at Chez Ania without a car. This was not a problem for us, as we are interested in cycling and walking and like to combat increased cheese and wine consumption with a bit of exercise! The cottages are an easy 30 minute walk away from Le Grand Pressigny, which has a couple of bars and restaurants, a bakery, small grocery store and butcher. We borrowed bikes and cycled around the area with reasonable ease. Due to the bus services being linked with schools, the timetable was reduced for the summer holidays. This meant it was difficult to travel further afield by bus on a daily basis, but easy enough to get to and from the cottage at the beginning and end of our stay. The owners were happy to give us lifts if they were going somewhere interesting. The holiday was a total break away from the hectic pace of everyday life for us. Very relaxing, friendly atmosphere with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Both Nicole and Alex Crawford were extremely generous hosts. We got an incredibly friendly welcome to their beautifully renovated gite.

The peace and tranquility of the surrounding area certainly is a tremendous tonic for those of us who lead a busy working life. Away from the madding crowd, with wonderful views to recharge the batteries, this is an excellent base from which to explore the wealth of history, architectural beauty and tempting caves of the Loire region.
