This was our first time to France and camping experience with Vacansoleil. We were firstly met by a grumpy and unhelpful young man behind the desk though the other staff were pleasant enough. There was no Vacansoleil rep onsite (Bali home) for the 2 weeks!! The site is good enough and spacious with plenty of entertainment and in a good location. However, I was alarmed by the antics going on in the swimming pool. The pool was over vastly crowded with adults and teenagers throwing footballs like missiles, hitting young children, and the same people 'bombing' into the water. I had to confront a guy of around 25 who landed on my 6 yr old daughter. He spat at me and this was all under the watchful eye of the so called life guard! He was not interested in my complaint nor was the manager of the site. This type of carry on went on for the duration of my holiday there. 1 life guard for that amount of people is a serious risk, especially to young swimmers, I certainly could not relax when my children were in the pool. Though I will admit, the life guard did speak to me on the first day...telling me that Bermuda shorts were not allowed! That was all they were interested in. Please be aware of young children in the pool....do not take your eyes off them. There was also a very large fire in the refuse/recycling area which was no fault of the campsite owners but they allowed children to get close to the fire which was just ridiculous with all the staff they have, not one was to be seen...there were gas bottles near by. Other than that, overall,it is a good campsite but they really need to address there safety standards and perhaps the staff could do with regular safety training and safety drills and more life guards as 1 life guard for over 120 people must surely be illegal. I will not be visiting this campsite again with young children.

Room Tip: BALI HOME.We had to use the pull out bed in the kitchen area as we were promised bunk beds which ma...

We originally booked for seven nights in our motorhome but site and facilities were so good we stayed for another 5 nights. Campsite staff could not have done more for us. Location great village short walk away with plenty of bars etc. good beaches and port area with lots of places to eat. We would definitely stay here again if in area.

We've just spent a week on the campsite. Stayed in a caravan with a wooden deck which was excellent, clean and tidy and in a good private location. Campsite was great, good pool. Bar was closed as it was early season but you can walk into the town (five minutes) which has a couple of bars and restaurants. You can also walk to the harbour (twenty mins) which has a lot more restaurants and bars and a great play area for the kids. All in all an enjoyable holiday with great weather and a great site and I'm pretty sure we will return sometime in the future.

We had a lovely short break here in April and think we may have found a hidden gem. The staff were very friendly and everywhere was clean.

There are lots of things to see and do locally but our children fell in love with the pool and slides.

We had a really relaxing time and would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of going.

This was our first holiday in France using a motorhome. The site was very clean, the reception very helpful and the pitchers spacious.we requested a quiet spot and were located at the rear of the site but still close to the loos which were good and clean.
Supermarket 5 mins away. Couldn't fault our relaxing hols.

We stayed in our motorhome at this site in August/ September with our 6 year old grandson Tyler. He loved the pool and slides. The last few days of our stay the slides were not working which was a bit disappointing. The site was starting to close down at the begining of September so go earlier. Tyler enjoyed the childrens club although he was the only british child there.
The staf were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The beach was a fair walk but we walked it three times. There was a large supermarket just down the road.
All in all we had a great holiday, and would go back.

We spent three weeks on L’Oceano D’Or this August and loved it. Has a good mix of different nationalities, meaning it actually felt like you were in France-unlike the site we stayed on last year.
Kids had a great time, always lots to do for them and also plenty of children a similar sort of age. We got allocated a great modern mobile home at the end of one of the avenues, loads of privacy surrounded by hedges and a real sun trap. Weather was also superb for the whole time. Toilets and showers were cleaned regularly and plenty of hot water (according to the other half who doesn’t like using the mobile home showers). Also loved fact you could walk everywhere, though we wish we had taken our bikes and ended up hiring some after the first week and after that we didn’t use the car.
Jard Sur Mer (5 mins from the campsite) is a great little town, plenty of shops and a great Market on Monday, probably one of the biggest we have seen in France in the last six years that we have been holidaying here, which is impressive for a small place. A few of evenings we ate down at the harbour, great atmosphere with what seemed to be nightly entertainment (or at least the few times we were there) though the queen tribute band singing songs with a French accent weren’t brill it was entertaining!!
I would recommend the campsite and Jard Sur Mer, especially you fancy a campsite where you can practise a bit of French and not feel like you are on an English campsite. We don’t normally return to the same place twice but are defiantly considering it again for next year.
