“Beautiful Resort”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 May 2014

What a beautiful resort. I felt like I was in heaven when we arrived here after spending 5 days in a condo! We arrived at 10:30 am and we were provided with a guest card to use the facilities while our room was getting ready. We headed right for the gorgeous pool area! The pool water was beautiful and the view from the lounge chairs was amazing. The resort is nestled between two small mountainside and the view from the pool up in either direction was just heavenly. The drinks from the hut were great and pool side service was always available, even in the pool they can serve you your drinks.
The breakfast buffet was delicious, awesome baked goods and good cooked to order omelets and wide selection of fruit. We even had lunch one day at the drink hut and it was reasonable for a panini. The rooms were nice, I didn't expect carpeting in the hotel down the hallways nor in our room but it seemed to work. The bathrooms were also quiet large and comfortable and so was the bed. The rooms have balconies and we had a tiny view from ours out to the ocean. The only reason I didn't rate this a 5 star was for the beach. To look out it was gorgeous, but the water was not clear. Much better beach water in St. Martin, but the view was just amazing on the beach as well as from the pool. Oh and if you use the gym - the temperature in there is perfect for working out. I had stayed in Aruba last year and had a hard time working out because the air conditioning was not keeping up in the gym and was too hot. This gym air was perfect. Only 2 people in their each time I used it. I wanted to check out the spa while here but had a sun rash that I didn't feel would be good, so I can't comment on that. This was so relaxing, we will come back again. Oh and don't be afraid of the steep climb up to the resort, the car will make it and you will not tip over :)

The location of the Radisson is great. The bay, Anse Marcel, is perfect for swimming due to the small waves and large roped off swimming areas. Also, there are a few good restaurants within walking distance of the resort by the marina.

The included breakfast was good with a nice selection of fruits, meats, cereal, bread, and made to order omelets.

Maintenance of the Radisson's portion of the beach looked to be a top priority. It was raked every morning and cleaned continuously during the day (any leaves that fell were picked up within 20 minutes). Your beach chair was also brushed off to remove any sand at least once during the day. I've been to much more expensive beach resorts that could learn something from the Radisson on beach service.

This beautiful and remote hotel has a very traditional, colonial feel. The pool is gorgeous and well maintained. The private beach is quiet and clean and the water is warm. There is an excellent breakfast buffet with lots of variety, custom cooked omelets, etc. I was not so impressed with the lunch in the hotel restaurant - very limited menu and the food was nothing special. Service at the beach bar is leisurely. Wireless is free but rather slow in the rooms.

If you want to shop and take the ferries to other islands and so on, this is not the place for you. If you are looking to relax and recharge and catch some sun and catch up on your reading, this hotel is perfect.

Don't even think of staying here without renting a car, and don't think of renting a car without asking for a GPS. It's a very expensive taxi ride from SXM - you can rent a car for 4 days for the price of the taxi to and from the airport, and you will need the car anyway to get to the French restaurants in Grand Cave and Margolit among other things. The GPS is indispensable as the roads are poorly marked and maintained and quite confusing.

I went with my wife for a four night say and we had an awsome time. The resort and staff were great to us. Breakfast was really good, I had the ribs for lunch one day and they were AMAZING! We were most impressed with the dinner, Beautiful view outstand food. We never used to the pools but they looked great. The beach is the best! All in all A+

The room & hotel grounds were bright, clean and inviting. The staff were exceptionally warm and helpful. Breakfast was AWESOME!! I still miss all the fresh grapefruit juice. The resort itself was a little isolated, but at the same time we were thankful for the quiet serenity that isolation provided. The island isn't large, so we rented a car and enjoyed exploring for 4 days - We will be back!

Great location on a beautiful beach. The breakfast buffet was a great value--free!! It was very good. Fresh fruit, fresh eggs, pastries, coffee, juice, pancakes waffles--everything you could possibly want. Some mornings there was a line, but it moved pretty quickly. No complaints with wifi. Go to Rasheed's next to hotel on beach for a drink. Calypso across the street has great pizza and other food for lunch. My biggest complaint--and this is no fault of hotel-- there is nowhere to go running. The street leaving the hotel is way too steep. Service was mostly good.
