The staff is very friendly. You can walk around the gardens of the Inn as well as the coffee plantation. Lots of different plants and birds. The plus: it is very quiet, away from the city. The negative: it is very quiet, away from the city... So, depending what you want this can be a great advantage. My husband and I loved it, but were ready to move on after 2 nights (we also did not have a rental car, so getting around was only possible via cab and paid excursions).

It was a long and funny trip, carefully reading the indications “How to get there” from International Airport, where we ( my wife and I ) laugh a lot, asking us : what are we doing here ?? before we finally arrived. The rain was so strong, we couldn’t see our own shoes…
Rain stopped, clouds disappear, sky turn blue, the vista was impressive and finally could enjoy this unique place made with love and passion. Staff attention, path and surroundings, rooms and arquitecture, all over excellent. The sustainability develop by Finca Rosa Blanca is very impressive and totally deserve the 5 leaves from ICT. Congratulations !!

A fabulous and relaxing place to stay. All of the staff were very friendly and professional and went out of their way to wish my husband a 'happy birthday'. We stayed in Cafetal - a beautiful room with stunning views. It was a pleasure to sit on the balcony enjoying the views of San Jose, the squirrels and incredible birdlife. We took our meals in the attached restaurant - El Tigre Vestido - super! We took advantage of the coffee tour - very interesting and worthwhile.

My family and I just concluded a 10-day trip to Costa Rica. We ended our trip by spending the last couple of days at the Finca Rosa Blanca Coffee Plantation - a small, boutique inn fairly close to the airport where were to fly home, but far enough away that you are reminded that you are in another lush country.

From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Toto, we knew we made the correct decision. Our car was parked and we were driven to our rooms (we had two rooms - one for us and one for our kids). Because this propery was someone's home, each room is unique and special. Our room had a rock on which the bed sat, a semi-circle living room and a huge bathroom.

It's worth noting that this is a five-leaf eco-friendly resort so expect nothing artificial in or around this property.

All meals are ordered off a menu, but breakfast is included. We had two servers - Omar and Marcos, both of whom remembered our likes and needs (my daughter required soy milk and it was brought each morning). The staff also assists with luggage and other needs. We felt like family at the end of our trip. There was nothing we could ask for that the staff couldn't accommodate. In fact, one staff went out of his way to purchase a special dairy-free dessert for my daughter, had it delivered to another staff's home so she could enjoy dessert with the rest of the family.

We were given a private 2.5 hour tour of the coffee plantation by Ulises that ended with a coffee tasting. He, too, couldn't have been more patient and kind with all of our questions. There are also a variety of other local tours that can be booked from the hotel.

There are no televisions in the rooms but it is one of the most beautiful properties we had visited while in Costa Rica. Almost each room has a place to sit outside and read, have a glass of wine or just enjoy the view.

We would highly recommend this facility and am sure you, too, will feel like family at the end of your stay.

Room Tip: Every room is unique - if you have a special request, I would ask upon check-in. None of the rooms...

My boyfriend and I took a 7 day vacation to CR and this was our first stop and was definitely the best. We absolutely loved the employees and how peaceful the atmosphere was. We stayed in Lav Aves and the bed was very comfortable and room was very clean. The coffee and food were delicious! So fresh and tasty. Smaller portions though so after having a delicious meal, we were both definitely craving more. We also did a Canopy zip lining tour which we absolutely loved, everyone is so friendly and welcoming! The coffee tour is very informative and I now find myself examining every cup of coffee i drink. Thank you Finca Rosa Blanca for being such an amazing hotel and plantation. I am hoping that we eventually make our way back to Costa Rica and are able to stay with you guys again :)

My husband and I stayed here on our last night in Costa Rica to be near the airport for our flight the next day. We arrived in the early evening after visiting the nearby La Paz Waterfall Gardens and enjoyed a lovely romantic vegetarian gourmet dinner overlooking the city of San Jose from the scenic mountainside location. We stayed in the El Roble junior suite and it was beautiful! Upon arriving, we were surprised with a beautiful rose petal decoration on the bed for our 20th wedding anniversary. The bed and especially the comforter and sheets, were the most comfortable of all of the places we stayed in Costa Rica! We loved the authentic and artistic décor and the very helpful and friendly staff. We only wish we would have had more time to spend to take the organic coffee tour and enjoy the beautiful grounds. This is truly a special place and we hope to return one day soon.

Dear Lara; Thanks for writing in a talking about your 20th anniversary at Rosa Blanca. I hope you come back soon for a longer stay to take advantage of the myriad activities we offer and of course, to take advantage of our coffee tour, which also allows you to fully participate in a "cupping" where you will learn how to discern between quality and mediocre coffee. I loved the photos of the food (looks like you are a big foodie!) and thanks for noticing our bamboo/cotton blend sheets. Expensive for us but really worth it for the comfort of our guests.
See you soon?

This coffee tour is a lovely walk through shaded organic coffee fields, relaxing and informative as the impassioned guide tells stories and anecdotes that entertain and educate. We are taken through the process of drying, roasting ( aroma therapy) even how to taste coffee, the yummiest part of the tour.It takes a couple of hours but it's leisurely and comfortable, and a beautiful way to spend the morning or afternoon.
