We wanted a nice paella and this place has it!! The owner is a Spanish guy . Not sure why he decided to locate the restaurant so far away, but it was worth the ride.
Also tried the pulpos a la gallega and they are great.
The place has live flamenco dance on the first Sunday every month

If you are looking for a great spanish restaurant this is not the place. It is a very long drive trip for a less than average taste and the prices are crazy. I felt like they made us drove long time to steel our money hidden in the mountains. We order a paella for 4 persons and unfortunately I was the last served and just got a quarter of portion. I went to another spanish restaurant 5 mins from home in plaza tempo escazu (La Masia) and order a 4 person paella and all of us ate twice and we couldn't finish it.

Went here last month with my family and for some reason the Tortilla didn't have salt, their sangria had no flavor and the paella was lacking of the mix of flavors and spices taste a paella should have, service is always outstanding as well as atmosphere, but left with a sad feeling of a bad meal.

I will summarize by saying that it is the restaurant where I've felt better served in my life. Visiting this place is a must.

Places like this make going out fun and exciting, without breaking the bank, and without anyone feeling out of place with small kids around.

This is a fantastic family restaurant that serves a collection of the best Spanish dishes in a relaxed social club-like atmosphere. Large tables accommodate big groups and smaller ones are available for couples or smaller families. The food is really good and their take on a few of the traditional tapas is one of a kind. The Papas Bravas are amazing, some of the best I've ever tried.

The only downside of this restaurant is it's "far out in the boondocks" kind of location. Takes a while to get there from San Jose/Santa Ana/Escazu, and it is not in the nicest of neighborhoods.
