Description: Thomas Tosh is a great place for a quick break, brunch or lunch. We've fairtrade tea, coffee, delicious cakes and scones baked on the premises, and a changing lunch menu at very reasonable prices. We also work hard to cater for all dietary needs.

“My favourite coffee and gift shop”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2014 via mobile

In the area on business so had to call in again for lunch, had an amazing pesto and tomato tart with a fantastic selection of salads which are always unusual and delicious. I also treated myself to an Anna Wright picture while I was there! Love browsing the gifts and love the food and am always made welcome by the staff.

“Lovely Place to while an afternoon”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 May 2014

Thomas Tosh housed a cafe and a gift/book shop. We had soup for lunch one day and afternoon tea (scones and chocolate cake) on another day. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. We took the opportunity to browse through the books and bought an interesting book on the history of Thornhill. All in all and enjoyable place to while away an afternoon.

“Worth a visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 April 2014

The cafe is in a large hall with a high ceiling but the layout of furniture and artefacts makes it feel a great place to be for a coffee or lunch. Great choice of cakes and coffee. Staff are helpful and friendly.

“Loads to look at”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 February 2014

I have been visiting TT for nine years now and never been disappointed. Whether it's for a coffee (great taste) and cake - homemade, huge portions and yummy, or lunch, the food is always excellent and imaginative. Don't go expecting just a small portion to keep you going until dinner - the lunches are large and will probably keep you going well beyond dinner! Very tasty and good value, always several choices of soup and crusty bread, something for everyone.
There's loads of interesting things to browse in the shop too.
