A great experience staying at this marvellous place.
We celebrated my wife's 50th and were well looked after by the team who work hard in this establishment.
Value for money throughout in tasteful, modern surroundings in a hotel that was two years in the overhaul but keeps the best bits of things traditional.
CAN'T RECOMMEND IT ENOUGH.

Attention to detail excellent from welcoming on arrival to departure. Rooms were clean comfortable everything there to make your stay 1st class. Staff could not do enough off you - food was 4 star quality resulting in dining there on both nights. Value for money was amazing cannot wait off revisit and yo share our experience onto our friends.

Room Tip: 4 star all the way

we have just returned from a lovely weekend away with friends at this wonderful gem of a hotel. I am trying to think of any bad points to mention, but I cannot think of any! Our room was a delight with large comfy bed and beautiful en suite bathroom with bath and walk in shower. The rooms had been recently upgraded and it certainly shows with fine attention to detail evident throughout. The dining room and lounge area were also decorated to a very high standard and the management and all staff could not have been more helpful. The food menu could also not be faulted, with a fine range of options all presented with style and the prices were all reasonable. Overall I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and would happily return

We stayed there May Bank Holiday. The room was of a high quality and very comfortable. The staff were lovely and helpful. The food in the restaurant was great and really delicious. All in all a good hotel. But unfortunately for us, it coincided with Thornhill Music Festival so the hotel had bands, of variable quality, playing in a function room on first floor. Luckily we were placed in a cottage room outside the main hotel building so we retreated to our room to escape the loud music, which really wasn't our cup of tea. Normally in country hotels like this, it's nice to have a guest sitting room but the only sofa & armchairs were part of the restaurant and so we either had to spend time away from the hotel or retreat to our room. It would have been nice if hotel guests could have had somewhere nice and quiet to retreat to, apart from their rooms.

Room Tip: Check in advance to make sure no noisy events coinciding with your stay

All 4 in our group loved it here and would love to come and stay in the hotel aswell some time. Highly recommended.

Just back from a two day deal break at the BQA. Fabulous! Room was brilliant, comfy large bed and bathroom was fantastic. A meal was included in the deal but we ate there both nights. A bar meal on the first night and a two course meal the second night and both were delicious. Staff were lovely and friendly too, service was excellent. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.

I stayed in the Buccleuch & Queensberry Hotel as part of a charity run / walk to London (Wee Sheena and Big Craig's Memorial London Adventure).

The staff were absolutely superb and the regulars in the lounge and Back Bar welcomed me with open arms.

I enjoyed it so much, I am going back to enjoy it again without the pressures of a 400 mile run to worry about !

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent
