We were two friends traveling together through France by car and I can say that this hotel was wonderful. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the courtyard. The service was very good as was the location. If you are planning a visit, be sure to return to the hotel for dinner. The meals were some of the best we had in France (and we were there for 2 weeks). There are apertifs at 4 pm, where you have a chance to mingle with some of the other guests and then a remarkable dinner. Do not miss this hotel. Innkeeper Penny is fun and helpful!

I must say, most of the places we stay in are great. There are a few, however, that bring up the feeling of "I wish that I could stay here a bit longer". This place is one of them. Penny, the owner, was so very helpful and charming. The room we stayed in was fresh, clean and lovely. As Penny gave the chef the evening off, she recommended a restaurant for us to dine that evening and it was superb. Had wifi in the courtyard so that was handy. Breakfast was lovely with a very nice assortment of items and also cooked eggs! One could eat outside in the rose garden or inside. The ambience is very embracing and warm. There is a beautiful pool and stocked fridge (on you honor) and it overlooks field of lavender and hills of Provence. Wished that we could stay longer but we had an itinerary to follow....next time, we will remain.

We were recommended this place by friends and are now happily indebted to them for their fantastic taste. It was our first time in France and we were unsure where we wanted to stay as my lovely wife "the princess" has fairly high standards when it comes to accommodation and food.

This place ticked all the boxes for both of us! I must say my wife's requirements have rubbed off on me over all these years. The location is fantastic only 10 minutes to the lovely village of Gordes and other great villages.

The hotel itself is in a fairly flat area of the Luberon the immediate area around the hotel is not that exciting. However it does afford a lovely view of the hills beyond the swimming pool. And as long as you have a car there are many lovely places to visit within a short drive. We had quite a few groups of people who were using it as a base to cycle around the area they all loved the location and the hotel itself.

The rooms are spacious and well appointed and very comfortable, the hotel itself is old world Provence farmhouse charm whatever that is but it certainly worked for us.

The food in a word is "beautiful"! Every day the menu changes if you plan on eating in for the evening which I thoroughly recommend make sure you let them know before you head off for the day. The menu changes daily but there are no choices its one entree one main and a desert. Don't be worried by that because you will not be disappointed.

We met many lovely people at this hotel and it really went a long way to enriching our Provence/France experience.

Penny and Julien are delightful hosts.

If you want a taste of French charm good food and a romantic place to stay do give it a go you won't be disappointed.

Loved this charming farmhouse hotel - lots of character and large bedrooms. Location perfect for visiting some of the key villages/sites in Provence. The gardens are lovely with a wonderful swimming pool - ideal at the end of the day! Honesty bar at the pool was very useful and gave a relaxed approach. We ate at the hotel on both nights, (most people appeared to eat at the hotel, I guess rather than driving 15 minutes to other restaurants in the area). The menu is set each day and you can decide at breakfast whether you wish to eat that evening. I emailed ahead to request fish (do not eat meat) and this was happily accomodated. All guests meet up at 8pm for a free pre dinner drink followed by dinner at 8.30pm (a little too late for us - prefer to eat by 8pm ideally). Highl;y recommend staying here.

Nice place, quite.
But very poor quality service : lobby always empty, no one to take care of you, except at eating time.
Managed by an unpleasant couple, specially the woman manager : awfull personn who asked my familly to leave the place, once we leaft and paid the room.

We were a couple traveling in the high summer season, looking for a convenient location to both the Vaucluse and Avignon region, but not in Aix or Avignon. La Bastide de Voulonne was a wonderful option: beautiful landscaped lit drive in to an 18th C Provencal renovated farmhouse with charm and class.

The Bastide has a Bed and Breakfast feel, and there is a tranquil courtyard with a calming fountain in the middle. The wooden beams and pastel colors of the surroundings, coupled with the flowers and tasteful furniture in the lobby and terrace, make for a picturesque setting.

The location is peaceful, but set in a non-descript area surrounded by some farmers' fields and country roads. The view is quite pleasant with rolling hills in the foreground and mountains in the distance. You are 8 minutes to Gordes, 20 minutes to Avignon, but if you have a chance to relax for a day at the large and comfortable pool area (complete with "honor system" fridge filled with cocktails), you can truly relax.

Our room was up two sets of stairs to a large top-level corner room. The shower was isolated, but an adjunct of the main room and not located inside the bathroom. We knew this upon our reservation -- there are two or so rooms like this, I believe -- and it was no problem. The room did not have air conditioning. If this is important for you (it would be if you planned to stay in your room during the summer days), inquire about an air conditioned room. For us, we were out the door fairly early to explore the surrounding countryside and it was not an issue. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Wifi is available, but accessed best from the lobby, and you will need to ask the staff to turn it on.

Dinner was a special experience with a prepared menu offered each evening. A gratis apertif/cocktail is offered at 7:45pm, with dinner commencing on the outdoor terrace at 8:00pm. The food was outstanding. Breakfast was also on the terrace, 14 Euro, and provided a pleasant setting to start the day.

Our price in Haut season was 100 Euro. For this price, we were thrilled with the ambiance, the service (we asked for an emergency ironing of two outfits one evening and it was done immediately), the cleanliness and "class" of the hotel.

We give an enthusiastic recommendation.
