This is a very traditional looking hotel in the village, with a grand dining room - we had the menu at 28 euros but the reduced it for me - good choices and great presentation along with the taste. Large portions and great service - we would definitely come back here. One of our best meals in the area.

I don't know how many times we have dined at St Hubert but every meal has been excellent. It may not be the cheapest place to eat, but the high quality of the food, its presentation and the well-chosen wine list make it worth a detour. The least expensive menu (28€) is just as good as the more pricey options.
On our last visit four of us all chose different menus and they were all excellent. Sadly the beautiful wisteria wasn't in bloom.
We held a 'wedding breakfast' there some years ago for 40 people, and Madame couldn't have done more to ensure that it was perfect.
Go for lunch on a Sunday and you may see a Christening party, or at least several generations of a French family, even the tinies, all enjoying a prolonged lunch. (Grandpa pays!)

We have been been customers at Saint Hubert for over 20 years and have never had a disappointment. Madame who ran the restaurant for many years with a degree of professionalism rarely seen nowadays has gone into semi retirement but never fear, her daughter has taken over and the family training shines through.
Always warmly welcomed, never abandoned, never pestered but always looked after, it would be a pleasure to eat here even if the food wasn't always superb. The presentation adds to the enjoyment and the subtle ways in which the chef mixes flavours is often a surprise.
It is the place we go whenever we feel the need for a treat or if our guests want to entertain us to a meal even tho' we have to drive 20 miles to get there. It isn't cheap but we always feel it is value for money. Remember though if you want to go at the weekend in summer, you'd better book!

We visited at lunch time to celebrate a birthday. We chose the mid price set menu and werent disappointed. Definitely one of the best restaurant meals I've had in France - or anywhere else - and I've had many over the years! Every course was delightful, beautifully presented and extremely well cooked. The wine list was excellent and not excessively priced - from very good every day wines to the exceptional. The ambience was pleasant - at lunch time there were French family groups, some all adults and others with well behaved children. A small number of English - it was after all low season. Have visited a number of restaurants in this area (have been visiting here over 20 years) and this gem will be re-visited!!

St Hubert is our favourite restaurant in the Entrechaux/Vaison la Romaine area. It is a wonderful, family run place offering excellent, delicious food, and warm ,friendly service in a beautiful setting. We always come for dinner when in the area and we have never been disappointed in all these years. It feels like coming home. We last visited the area end of September for a week and we had dinner at St. Hubert twice. We had to go back the second time for their venison which wasn't available the first night as hunting season hadn't opened yet. But Madame assured us they'll have it by the end of the week and kindly offered to reserve some for us. This time it was a lovely stew of wild boar which takes 36 hours to prepare and we are glad we went back.

Another dish which is absolutely amazing is their foie gras , mi cuit (or half cooked) pink and sweet, served over a gelee of muscat de Beaumes de Venise. They prepare it in house and it is truly the best foie gras we have had anywhere.

Also impressive is the span of their menu. You have a lot of choices both in appetizers and main courses, with seafood, fowl and meat represented and available on any given night, as well as several prix fixe menus that are good value if you are planning on having a full meal with cheese tray and dessert.

Tip: do reserve, it's a well known, popular place and they may not be able to seat you if full. They are also open on Sundays and Mondays, so it's good to know as many restaurants are closed on Sunday. Enjoy!
