“The Vacation of a Lifetime!!!!!”
Reviewed 13 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

A long time ago, I had a dream to rent a house, somewhere beautiful, where friends and family could come to visit. This idea was fortified for me, when I saw the movie "A Good Year" starring Russell Crowe (2006). A sleeper film, it is beautiful.
Like the star of that film, I have achieved financial success with my career, but also experience great stress. Our family.
We achieved this by going to this home in St. Didier, which is at the hear of the most beautiful part of France. Maybe later, I will write about all the delightful things we found in this area. But for this review, I will only say that the House is magnificent, furnished very tastefully. The beds are incredibly comfortable. And overall, it is a fantastic place for anyone who is looking to experience what is truly special about Provence. Would I recommend this rental to a friend, OH YES and then some! I hope you have an opportunity to experience the wonderful world of Provence, with this as your landing pad. You really will not regret it! Just ask Dominic!

“A Wonderful Place!”
Reviewed 19 January 2014 for a stay in September 2013

Well this property and its location was simply fantastic. The house is so spacious and beautifully restored and decorated. The bathroom is just amazing with the largest bathtub we have ever seen and great walk in shower. The kitchen is oversupplied with everything you could ever need or want. And the bedrooms are spacious and quiet and the living room comfortable and easy. Outside the park is something to behold: very quaint sitting places all over the park, a large iron table for 10 under a tonnelle so that whole family can eat outside when the weather is good, very old and high oak trees, lilies, lavender, olive trees and much more. It is a private park so you are quiet and secure yet it is really only an 800 meter walking distance to the wonderful Provencal village of St Didier where you have 5 restaurants, 3 bakeries, cafes and pizzerias.
Then there is the region as you are so well connected to great villages and towns like Avignon, Isle sur la Sorgue, Fontaines de Vaucluse and many more. Truly a great property with very communicative owners who are extremely helpful and a great location. Could not ask for any more

“Fabulous and memorable holiday”

We arrived in mid July for a much anticipated two week holiday having also rented the adjacent gite as there were eight of us in the party. The accommodation was excellent, well appointed and very accurately described on the website. The location was delightful and we regularly walked into St Didier which was a typical Provençal village. Silvain Nougaterie is fantastic and definitely worth a visit. We were very well situated for exploring the local tourist areas such as Gordes, L'Isle sur La Sorgue, Bonnieux, Lacoste, Cavaillon and even managed a trip to the Camargue region and Saint Maries sur La Mer. The markets are all worth a visit as the quality of the fresh fruit and other produce is superb. We had two glorious weeks in this delightful villa and would definitely stay there again.

“Would Like to be There every year!”
Reviewed 21 June 2013 for a stay in June 2013

Stayed in this charming, oh so convenient home first week in June. Owners are more than hospitable and incredibly helpful before, during and after our stay. We had a wedding in the area so much of our time was devoted to those places and events, but we did do a few of the owner's suggestions and all were spot on. Especially liked dinner at Auberge La Camarette. One of the owners suggestions.
House was clean, beautifully landscaped and perfect place to relax. I would definitely recommend it and /or rent there again.

“Charming, rustic Provencal home for the perfect holiday”
Reviewed 18 June 2013 for a stay in June 2013

Choosing the ideal holiday home for ourselves, our children and their partners was never going to be an easy task, however from the outset of our correspondence with Dominic and Susanna, I felt that we were making the right decision. Their patience, knowledge and willingness to share their love of Provence and their home, with no pressure to actually choose their property was unexpected and a real bonus.

The house was truly charming, clean, comfortable, tasteful with an incredibly well equipped kitchen which we made use of daily. The garden is stunning, lots and lots of tall trees, different seating areas, a sparkling clear pool well maintained with sun chairs and hammocks. Two good sized bedrooms with cupboards downstairs and a huge , and I mean huge bathroom, with separate shower and 'spa toilet' (!!) was great to use. Upstairs are 2 inter-leading bedrooms with a toilet and sink, very comfortable.

The property is not far from the most charming little village which boasts 3 boulangeries, several restaurants, an amazing place where nougat is made on the premises, as well as icecream, plus a wine shop selling wines from the region which are not sold in the supermarkets, a huge plus. St Didier is also close to several charming villages , each of which seemed to have a market on different days which made it easy for us to buy fresh veggies, cheeses, meats, tapenades etc for our culinary feasts prepared in the kitchen or cooked on the barbecue outside.

We loved being in Dominic and Susanna's home so much that we abandoned some of our plans to sightsee, in order to stay 'home' and simply chill. There was enough space both in the garden and inside for each couple to also have some privacy if they wanted. Wifi was excellent, with free local calls, not to mention being able to call or email the owners for advice and suggestions on where to shop , eat etc - I can't recommend La Truffiere and its location enough.
