“Perfect lunch”
Reviewed 6 October 2012

We had a lunch at the Auberge du Parc last summer. The entourage is very nice; we were sitting in the back garden, which has about 10 tables, a small fountain and trees for the necessary shadow. We took the set 3 course menu and every course was really delicious. I can still remember the taste of the main course: a kind of chicken thai curry. I will mail the chef to share the recipe. We stayed 2 weeks in the provence and ate at various restaurants, however this was the best by far. Thumbs up to the Belgian chef de cuisine and his crew

“Hard to get to, but nice food”
Reviewed 28 July 2012

The Auberge du Parc is a very nice place to eat and it is able to accommodate the needs of those who are gluten- or lactose-intolerant because of the knowledge of the chef-patron and the professional serving staff. The only problem is finding the hotel and restaurant because it's tucked in off a very narrow street in a town that specializes in narrow streets. If you miss the small sign on the left-hand side of the road that points to the hotel car park (some 220m away down a bumpy road), you'll end up driving through the centre of the village and may have to make some "interesting" turns to avoid oncoming cars before eventually finding a place to park. The menu is dependent on whatever's in season and the fish and meat courses that we had were very good, as were the desserts. A simple but more than adequate wine list is also a pleasure to browse as you can find something unusual there. The only issue we had was the length of the service - it took forever to get the final bill and then pay on a night where the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. If the Auberge wasn't tucked in the middle of the Var and so reasonably difficult to get to, I think we might return more quickly. As it is, the meal was a pleasure and we might well come back, even with the long drive.
