We stayed at Natural Moments Bush Camp at the end of December 2013, we booked 4 nights and ended up staying only 2.
Tracey is a pleasure to deal with, a really great person. From the time we made a booking till we got there it was really awesome dealing with her. Unfortunately during our stay, the weather wasn't too good, with continuous rain for hours on end. The camp itself has a very relaxed setup, it really is a bush camp which is nestled between the tree's and makes you feel a part of nature. What was really good about it is the location as it is the furthest external camp from the entrance of the nature reserve.
The room we stayed in was a 4 sleeper with 2 X bunk beds. It really is basic backpacker style, with a communal Bathroom and toilet. The linen was washed prior to our arrival, and due to the rain it was unable to e dry in time, and had the wet smell. The mattresses were good, however there was a lot of spider webs around the frames of the Beds (Which really is unavoidable and expected due to its setting). The Toilet gets cleaned often and so do the shower's which is really great considering it is communal.
There is a shared Kitchen, with a few fridges and deep chest freezers with the usual Cutlery etc. However, this was the only issue we had there and can be improved on, the fridges at the time had a faint smell, and stains inside with fruit bugs flying around. Apart from that, our food we pre cooked to take along was eaten from some time during the evening and drinks went missing. This is caused by the other guests and was a major problem for us due to the fact that because we are Muslim, it was difficult for us to get any halaal food in the area. A suggestion would be to have the fridge compartments locked or have individual fridges which are cleaned regularly with its own key for the guests. Unfortunately this incident had impacted us all and cut our trip short.
Tracey organized the dive charters for us and gear hire at good rates, and we were really well taken care off. This was among my best dive experiences and was a great end to our trip.
I will return to Natural moments, hopefully next time the weather plays it's part and the are clean lockable fridges.
Thanks Tracy for great hospitality and a good stay
