After a long walk from Clapham to Ingleborough then down to Trow Gill back to Clapham 11.5 miles, a beer at the pub was most welcome. We were surpirsed that they allowed dogs into the well decorated and cream covered seats, but they did.
People in the group ate and it looked excellent, it was devoured quickly. Would like to go back and sample the food myself.

Great location for walking in the Dales. The hotel has recently been renovated throughout and bar and dining areas had been tastefully decorated. The room was clean and comfortable. Food was excellent. Only (minor) downside was that breakfast was not served until 8am, as an early starter this meant a long, but worthwhile, wait. The staff were all very friendly, and to be honest, I am sure, if we had asked they would of done an early breakfast.

The hotel is very attractively refurbished. Clean comfortable room and some of the best food I have ever had. Friendly service, wi fi in the bars and a hose outside for boots was a nice touch! Coffee menu was incomprehensible so not tried. The real ale well kept was lovely and great choice.

The New Inn has recently had quite a makeover and whilst retaining enough of the old to give a sense of the traditional old pub, big changes have been made to ensure that guests enjoy 21st century levels of comfort. The food was excellent .There is a short bar menu including fish and chips and pie and chips and also a far more extensive restaurant menu. The meals we had were delicious. A real gourmet experience. Our room was large and comfortable with a funky chandelier The shower room was excellent. Powerful shower, good selection of toiletries and huge fluffy towels.(I just wish they hadn't changed them after 1 night) All this and brilliant walks straight from the door!

The hotel has obviously recently been refurbished and the furnishings were lovely and very tasteful. The bathroom was great with plenty of hot water and the room was warm and comfortable. The food that we saw people eating in the bar looked good, but unfortunately, the food that we had in the bistro was disappointing as was the breakfast with a very basic selection of sliced apples, oranges and under ripe melon if you didn't want to go for the cooked option. Overall a reasonably pleasant stay but probably wouldn't rush to stay again.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything was perfect. The owner was on hand to welcome us, & is rightly proud of the place. Décor is stylish & tasteful, with everything of the highest quality. Our room was well appointed & comfortable, breakfast on both days was good, & dinner was fabulous. Looking forward to another stay.

We stayed her after buying a KGB voucher for two for two nights B&B and a gourmet dinner. Wonderful value. The hotel has had a superb makeover - bedroom was lovely with an emporer bed and luxurious bathroom/towels etc. The breakfast was delicious and the dinner truly gourmet. We had it again on the second night.
There are over 20 rooms, mostly in the main hotel, and several in the annex, where we were. At two oclock in the morning we were woken by a fire alarm and, along with 3 other couples, we rushed outside. It was pitch blac , and we stood in the rain with coats over our sleepwear. It became apparent that no-one else was going to come out. We went round to the front of the hotel to see a light flashing, the guests in the main building not having been disturbed. One of our group mentioned that the owner lived half an hour's drive away. None of us had any details of how to contact him. There were no brochures with emergency numbers in the rooms and the fire drill on the backs of bedroom doors simply stated 'make your way outside'. After twenty minutes we rang the fire brigade. Just as two fire engines arrived the alarm stopped. The firemen checked our rooms and then one went to the front of the building and hammered on the door. A guest let him in. On finding the alarm centre, he discovered that the alarm had been stopped and reset (by whom?) The owner heard us discussing all this in the dining room at breakfast, and seemed totally nonchalant about it - saying the wind might have set off the alarm. I would love to go back - but only if there is adequate provision for emergencies!!
