If you want to enjoy personalised service in a place where you find nothing except 100 year old fresco paintigs and havelis, then this property is a must to stay... a very comfortable and serene place.

It was our first time in Nawalgarh and Koolwal Kothi just made a memory of a lifetime! The property is a heritage property and felt like royalty being a guest there. All the staff were so polite and made it feel like home for us. The entire property is so well kept yet didnt let us miss the feeling of being like a royalty in the olden days of Rajasthan! The food was simply delectable. The kids loved the camel rides and they also arranged a puppet show for us to complete the Rajasthan feeling for us. I would love to go back there again! Thank you Khandelwals!

The usp here is the hospitality. The staff and the managers, the chef everyone goes out of their way to make your experience one of complete luxury.

The food is authentic and the chef was kind enough to prepare it for us vegan as well.

The rooms are brilliant and give you a very authentic old world feel.

All in all, an experience worth having and one I would wholeheartedly endorse.

Exploring Rajasthan brought me to to Nawalgarh and i chanced upon spending a few days like a maharajah in Koolwal Kothi. It has 18 individual designed rooms with antique furniture and British colonial architecture which takes you back in time.
My first experience at Koolwal Kothi was great, living in a heritage hotel is always a unique experience. To add to all this there are massive gardens and a swanky swimming pool to add to the maharajah feel. The spa is heavenly with various massages after a long day exploring the city in the sun.
There were also various entertainment activities such as local folk dance, henna and tie dye exhibitions. The best part is that the staff here extends support to fulfill all your wishes such as arranging for a camel ride and jeepsafari.
The food here is delicious too with options of the delicious and spicy rajasthani food and other indian, chinese and continental. My favorite however was Rajasthani food, very elaborate and grand. There's ever a dull day in this gorgeous Kothi. to digest all this awesome food was the cycle tours which i have never done before.
The prices to top it all were very economical and i took the package which included breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was an amazing trip and an amazing place to live in. Takes you back in time and makes you feel like a Maharajah

Room Tip: Get a good deal book on the website or take some of the packages.

This place was just beautiful, well maintained and nearby the tourist attractions. The hotel staff are extremely polite and courteous. They were very accommodating even though we can get very need travelling with children. The rooms are big, comfortable and the hotel has several activities. The puppet show, camel ride and rajasthani folk dance were our favorites. They also have a Havelli (palatial home) attached to this Kothi which is a must see. Absolutely gorgeous artwork. Highly recommend this place for a taste of lavish life!!!!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Koolwal Kothi is an impressive heritage building in Nawalgarh. With its monumental façade and combination of traditional and European elements, it is a good representative of British colonial architecture in India. It was constructed in 1934, during the time of Anandi Lal ji Hemraj Ji Koolwal. It has a magnificent frontage with stucco decorative colonnades and a series of rooms organized around a central hall. It deviates from the traditional courtyard house planning of the region. Stylistically too, it has more stucco work with very few external fresco paintings, which are otherwise typical to this region. It is very unique in this respect. The main building is a tow – storied structure with frontal triple arched verandah openings and crowning parapets with decorative urns. The interiors are simple with very little decoration in the rooms. However, the emphasis is on bold and bright colors, and the openings are extenuated with multicolor borders or floral motifs, at times emulating tile or stonewall The Kothi has 18 individually designed Deluxe Rooms. where one can witness and live like how the Maharajas used to. You will find the Kothi with antique furniture and a lot of importance has been given to detail to recreate life as it was almost 80-100 years ago. In the Nawalgarh, Koolwal Kothi offers visitors the elegance of a small Rajasthan Palace- like residence with all the comforts of a Heritage Hotel. It captures the charm of the princely city that was built in accordance with the ancient Hindu treatise.Set in a lovely garden, flanking the spacious green roundabout at a corner of Nawalgarh, the Hotel is a few minutes’ drive away from the walled city. With the Hotel Koolwal kothi as base, explore Beautiful surrounding Havelies (e.g. Poddar Museum, Morarka Haveli, Seksheriya Haveli, Jaipuria Haveli, etc), Famous Temples (Salasar Hanuman Ji, Rani Sati Temple, Khatu shyam Ji etc), Famous Destinations (e.g. Mandava, Fathepur, Ramgarh, etc), Taal Chapar (Famous Wild Life Sanctuary)The Kothi is currently owned by Mr. Praveen Khandelwal, one of the descendants of the Koolwal family. The heritage building had been locked and neglected for most of the last 40years. Today the Kothi is a successful heritage hotel run by WelcomHeritage, keeping alive the charming traditions and hospitality in the Shekhawati region. ... more   less
