We did the whole day tour including lunch and dinner today. It was really amazing. Saleh's nephew Mosa was our driver and he stayed with us during the day. All personal wishes (we wanted to hike some more times) we're fulfilled. We had the lunch right beside a canyon and Mosa heated the food on a small fire! In the evening, we went to the camp and watched the sunset from a near rock. Afterwards, we had an authentic dinner that had been prepared by Saleh's wife, Alia. We really liked the food, especially the typical rice. You really feel that this is a family business and that everybody really likes what they are doing. Next time, when we will spend more days in Jordan, we will definitely come again and stay overnight at Saleh. Loved it!
Many thanks to Saleh, his nephew Mussa, and all his family for a wonderful tour at Wadi Rum, which I and my wife recently experienced. They were very nice and welcoming. I appreciate especially the personal approach and individual planning of the trip, so we were able to combine it also with the camel ride. The arrangement of the tour was perfect, so we have seen the best of this amazing place. We visited several sites, each time we get a brief background story and then we get the time to explore by ourselves. The lunch prepared by Mussa and the dinner made by Saleh’s wife Alia was the best! I loved their home made goat cheese. Unfortunately we did not have the opportunity to spend the night in Saleh’s camp, due to limited time in Jordan, however I can truly recommend staying with them. The camp is well equipped and the tents seemed very comfortable. The sunset in the camp was beautiful and the desert silence was very relaxing. Even one day with Saleh and his family in Wadi Rum was the breathtaking experience that we will never forget. We hope that we will return to Wadi Rum one day and spend there more time.
Saleh and his family were wonderful hosts. His jeep tour was comprehensive and designed to give you a great feeling for this amazing place. I would recommend his all inclusive package, which would include accommodations, meals, transfers and a personally designed tour. The placement of his camp is designed to take advantage of great sunsets.
So much to see and do in this wonderful truly desert scenery, and an honour to stay with a genuine bedouin family who made us feel a part of their family. Could not do more to accomodate our complex and sometimes late requests. I come away with very warm regards for Saleh and his wife Alia (who is definitely a brilliant cook - blending lovely spices into great tasting dishes). I recommend to definitely stay much longer than 1 day and night to let the truly amazing experience truly in.
You'll have a great stay for sure, and if you read some of the other reviews you'll see that Saleh and his family look to make your experience a special one, and work hard to accommodate what you personally are after .
In my opinion, this being my second time in Wadi Rum, his camp has the best situation of the various ones dotted around the desert. It is by an awe-inspiring rock formation and only 20 minutes from the village and It is pitched up on a small plateau, so giving it a better view of the surrounding desert. It's also mid-way between the village and some of the popular sites, such as Burdah Bridge. The food is also the best, courtesy of Alia!
We had a wonderfull time with Musa, Saleh and his Family! A complete Arrangement, a lot of POI's to visit and a amazing Landscape! We will always remember our visit with our new Friends in Jordan!
I brought a party of 11 rock climbers from the UK here for 11 nights. We had a fantastic trip made all the better by the super camp run by Saleh Mosa and his family. Location was quiet and secluded so the night stars were truly amazing. The food everyday was marvellous as was Saleh's hospitality and transport so we could all climb at different crags and Wadi's. Could not have been better
