I would urge everybody to disregard any previous unfavourable review(s). We stayed overnight for a friend's wedding. The room was comfortable and clean. En suite facilities were excellent and the water hot and plentiful. We had a snack lunch on the Saturday - which was excellent value too. Breakfast was a classic, beautifully cooked full English.

New owners are clearly working very hard to (re)build a reputation. We would have no hesitation in staying there again.

Room Tip: Only one room available. Adjacent to road - but double glazed.

Stayed here in September as part of a training course and i must say that it's all fine. The two rooms are simple but very spacious, the home-cooked food is good and well-portioned and the beer is excellent. The new managers are working hard to continue to improve the place and go out of their way to provide good service, and the overall atmosphere is very much that of a country pub, since that's just what it is. If I was back in the area I would certainly come back, and it would make a very good base for walking and touring the area- Taunton is in easy reach, as is the coast at Lyme Regis.

I visited the pub 24/03/ 2010 regarding accommodation for a coming local event for an organization , whilst there I had a meal along with a friend it was fine and the atmosphere was that you would expect from a country inn, the management has changed recently and all the rooms are now on suite and central heating has just been fitted as part of a refurbishment . So do not be put off by the above comments

This is simply the worst place I have spent a night in my life! The room had a broken window which banged in the night, the room was freezing cold and the shower simply did not work. It is unbelieveable that the owner has no shame in trying to pass these rooms off as anything but hostel-standard.
£10 a night would be expensive, £50 is a joke. Even the breakfast was discusting.
