Tagliacozzo is a beautiful town that we've stopped in several times on our way back from Abruzzo to Rome, but we'd not cracked lunch until now.
The restaurant is on a beautifully quaint old street down by the river, a beautiful building in a beautiful spot.
Lunch was simple, and tasty. Antipasta della Casa was mountain meats, and cheeses, with particularly beautiful piped ricotta with honey and walnut.
Primi was perfectly cooked pasta - chitarra with baby tomatoes and speck. Washed down with house wine and a tiramisu to finish.
Service was prompt and polite throughout.
