After spending one week visiting family I wanted to make sure that I also enjoy myself, after all I am was on vacation. This Ocean Front Resort is the gem of West Africa. The decor, the landscape and customer service was excellent.
I decided to spend 8 hours at Coco Ocean, THE BEST SPA SERIVCE HANDS DOWN. I got a body scrub, facial, Swedish massage and a mud wrap for under $100.00.

just back from a quick week here . This hotel absolutely stands out in the region as firstly being a superbly maintained mid size luxury hotel but most importantly they seem to have cornered the market in employing quite simply the most charming , understated and efficient workforce I can remember having the pleasure of being cared for by.
Every single staff member with whom we had contact were boundlessly cheerful , hugely proud of both the hotel and their country , well versed in dealing with the sometimes demanding requests of guests but importantly were never to obtrusive as to have anything other than a hugely positive impact on my stay . Drinks were remembered, favorite tables were held , delightful enthusiasm was given to requests for guidance on best choice local dishes for lunch. drinks automatically arrive at exactly the time you had the day before....really did feel looked after.
The "fountain courtyard " (breakfast and one of two dinner venues) really was a serene spot . No music, just a well lite spot where you can gaze at the stars as you eat and listen to the local wildlife .really lovely. All of the staff here were outstanding but Armando ,Justina ,the inimitable Smiling Boy all stood out .the whole creq were a pleasure to meet .
The lunchtime /Thai in the evening venue I only used for lunch , Tried dishes from their local food menu everyday guided by the charming Ebrima whos pride in his job , country and service he offers really is a tribute to the charming George who oversees all .
Room was a Royal Suite . It was huge , Very high ceilings ,great aircon (which we really needed),Two great bath /shower rooms , very comfortable 4 poster , large terrace/ Garden and private plunge pool . Housekeeping was first class with room attended twice per day .
Will be back here without a doubt and soon . I am very grateful for the pleasure of staying at such a great location with service standards that I really did believe were of days gone bye.

An experience not to be repeated. Tired and weathered resort with decorators working around holiday makers. Watch out for Banjul Belly - the locals warn you about it and it happens!! A 3rd world resort with a European price tag not worth the money

Room Tip: The resort was dead so hard to recommend

I loved this place. Beautiful setting, stylish decor, excellent customer service, comfortable room, delicious and bountiful breakfast, and a range of dinner options, including one right on the beach. High attention to detail. Even he internet was decent. I will definitely stay here next time I am in Banjul.

Room Tip: The rooms in the main lodge can be noisy because of the central atrium. If quiet is important, you might choose a bungalow.

The hotel is wondeful. The epitome of African luxury. The Wow factor in the hotel is that it actually wows you. The dinner was scrumptious and breakfast too. The ingredients used you can tell that everything is straight from the source and is very homey, its like you have a Chef in your own home. However i gave it a 4 because the AC isnt strong enough for the villas and takes a long time to cool. Also the showerheads in my room was loose and almost fell on my head.

Other than that, obviously the best hotel in The Gambia and possibly in the close region.
