First trip to the area in June of this year during which we tried several of the restaurants in the village. In our opinion the best restaurant but the standard in this village is very, very high.Such a shame it isn't up in the square so folks may be unlikely to stumble across it as it's just off the main street. This did result in it lacking a bit of the buzz of the square but this was offset by the time lavished on diners by both mine host and a talented, innovative chef, a most interesting couple. Not cheap, but outstanding cuisine and superb value at this level and would be twice the price in a major city eatery! 29.0 Euro and 39.50 Euro for 3 and 4 courses respectively. Friendly, attentive and very welcoming (English speaking) service from a (French) husband and wife team with Jeannine front of house and Roberto in the kitchen. We were so impressed by our first visit we returned for a "late" lunch and they were most accommodating even though we arrived just on closing time ( 2 courses from the evening menu for 20 Euro - a steal.) For good measure we ate our "farewell dinner" there. Decent wine too!
If you're in the area give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
