Last week we were on Holiday in a cottage in Eardisland and as it was my wife's Aunties 85th birthday we decided to go to this establishment for a special meal. We had prebooked a table and when we arrived we were greeted by Stuart in a most welcoming way and immediatley shown to our table and presented with the menus for consideration. The Menu's were very extensive and provided a very varied and delicious sounding assortment of dishes for all tastes.
A special menu was also available, Stuart said that if we wanted to mix things from both menus, then this would not be a problem
Whilst we were considering the many options on offer we were provided with a list of the various wines and locally brewed beers available, these were duly considered and subsequently ordered and delivered by Stuart.
Once the food arrived you could tell by its presentation and the way that it had been cooked that every care had been taken.
The final gesture which we found to be very pleasing was when the sweet arrved for my wife's Auntie it was accompanied by rendition of Happy Birthday from the Staff and adorned with a Candle.
Our overall experience of dining at this establishment was superb, the food preparation and presentation brilliant, the service second to non and the way in which Stuart and his staff looked after us was first class.
This is a place which if we are in the area again we will be heading for and we would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who wants a first class meal in brilliant surroundings
