Lovely welcome from Valy, charming decor and atmosphere. Simple menu of authentic Alsace and Savoie fare - children well catered for. Hearty food for the end of a days ski-ing. Exactly the sort of restaurant experience you wish for in the Alps!

We were recommended this new restaurant by the local ski guide as we were struggling to find space in other restaurants. Well, this was one of the hoighlights of our trip.

The owners are from Alsace and have brought their take on a local dish to the town. The restauarant is on the main road thorug the town but just up a side street between two larger establishments.

The waitress was really helpful in explaining the dishes and didn't oversell. The children in our party had enough choice and really enjoyed the experience too.

There is a small rural museum tied intot he building which may be worth a visit during the day.

Relaxed atmosphere and it alsmost feels like you're eating in their dining room.

Would thoroughyl recommend this as an an alternative to the main and busy (also very good) local restaurants.

On the main road through Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise village, but somewhat hidden by it's neighbours, this Savoie gem is definitely worth seeking out.
We were looking for somewhere we could get a rustic Savoyarde meal and this fitted the bill perfectly. We were made to feel very welcome by the hosts, the restaurant itself is very cosy, the food delicious and the portions are generous.
La Tarentine was recommended by a previous guest in the visitor book of the Chalet we stayed in, I'm glad they shared it. Well worth a visit and I would definitely go there again.

What a pleasant surprise this restaurant was. Tucked away up a side street in a very quaint building with an on site museum. The hosts were very welcoming to our party of 8. We had an excellent evening, the meal and ambiance were superb. Very good value when compared with other establishments in the village.
