This is a fabulous rustic/luxury lodge that includes all meals and open-air game viewing twice a day as well as visits to a hide by a waterhole.
The day starts with tea and rusks in the morning and a game drive (you stop for coffee, tea, or chocolate mid-way), picnic lunch baskets at noon, tea time mid-afternoon before the next drive, and then dinner by the fire in the open boma with your tables lit by oil lanterns. Sherry is brought to your room in the evening. Absolutely charming!
The accommodations are gorgeous, with each private hut having an outdoor plunge pool and shower as well as a lovely verandah with chairs and a hammock for relaxing. There is also a spa available. You'll want to stay here a minimum of two nights (arriving at noon to take advantage of a game drive the day you come), but three nights might even be better.
Bring warm coats with hats and gloves for the game drives. The open air is windy and COLD in the mornings.More
