We stayed 2 nights at Tiger Residency in Chitwan, as part of a package that included transfer to and from our other destinations, meals, and tours and activities tied to Chitwan National Park. I would give Tiger Residency 4 stars for the meals, service, and accommodations, and I would give the tours and activities (many of which were arranged, but not conducted by Tiger Residency staff) 3 stars. The meals were simple and delicious, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was kind and accommodating. The tours that we did with Tiger Residency staff (mainly hikes) were great - relaxed, informative, fun. The tours tied to the park (elephant bathing, elephant safari) were so touristy it made me uncomfortable. The canoe ride was calm and peaceful and a highlight of the trip, though. Chitwan is a haven of peace and calm compared to other tourist destinations in Nepal, and Tiger Residency is a nice place to experience the park.

We spent 3 nights in the Tiger Residency Resort. We booked it in Pokhara in a Package. The rooms were very simple but clean, the staff was extremly friendly and the food was just great (altough we couldn't choose a dish, what we got was just excellent). The Tiger Residency is only 5 minute walk to the entrance of the park, but is in a quiet area. Our guide from the resort was very nice and knowledgable (even tough it was sometimes a little bit difficult to understand his english - but he is doing good).
