“Great service”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

We received quite a warm welcome. We were a bit delayed at the border but we were expected. The 4 course dinner was ready and waiting and it was delicious. Next we will make sure that we get involved with the activities. We enjoyed our stay.

I stayed with my family at Number 4 lodge, the 5 star lodge and it was unbelievable. We were welcomed with hot hand cloths and a glass of bubbly. The staff and the welcome was the beginning of our great experience. The lodge was beautiful. It had everything. We had our meals delivered to us. We ate outside overlooking the mountain and other times we ate in the restaurant. The staff put on a show of dancing and music on the saturday evening. The food I would rank as the best I have ever ate. For the 3 days I never watched the TV or listened to a radio or read a newspaper. It was just complete relaxation in between breakfast, lunch and dinner and they called to our door with hot chocolate and biscuits. The best part was doing the Community Visit. We had no car and the staff organised a car with a driver for us and a guide. We had a great morning visiting the local village and the work that the maliba lodge community development trust is doing for the community. Well done to Maliba Lodge and to the staff who made our visit a memory to last a lifetime especially our guide and driver who explained everything to us.

Room Tip: stay in the 5 star chalet. it is worth it.

We own our own B&B in Clarens and a Restaurant and just needed to get away for a break for one night, It was well worth it! I made a mess with our booking and it was no trouble moving us to where we wanted to be, the staff were very helpful, we had a lovely massage in our room in front of the fireplace and the two ladies were very good.

We arrived late the Friday at Maliba, we were welcomed with utmost excitement by the staff. Enjoyed every moment at the 5 star lodge, especially the champagne picnic on the deck. It is also very nice that all the meals are included, which makes your stay much more relaxing.

But the best was the horse riding to the black lake. Riding extremely fast up and down the mountain was the best ride of my life - thank you Adam!

Would recommend this place for everybody
