This B&B answered our luggage problems while we are on the road (do you share them?) as well as providing an excellent place to stay as one travels south on the A6.

We are retired and have little energy to cart heavy luggage around. Since we travel for long periods and need books and clothing to match different countries and seasons, our car is always packed to bursting. Hotels say that their parking is secure, but when we arrive it often is not so we have to exhaust ourselves emptying our million cases from the view of potential thieves. We now realise that B&Bs often have their own private parking, which is ideal for us, especially if we are staying for a single night. And so this B&B proved. Easy, restful and safe.

The bonus was that it is run by an interesting international couple, English- and French-speaking, Hong Kong Chinese, Cheung Pui Wan, together with her Cantonese- and English-speaking, French husband, Thomas Poupinet. Since my partner worked for a year in Hong Kong many, many years ago, she had lots to catch up on — for instance, she discovered that the road she lived on, ineptly named 'Robinson Road' to reflect the British colonial period, was still there and under its same name! The Poupinets were warmly welcoming and interesting (it is one of the bonuses of B&Bs that one often meets people who have a previous life in other settings); our room was large, comfortable and peaceful; they booked us an excellent dinner in a local restaurant; breakfast included delicious fresh croissants and more varieties of jam than our local supermarket does; conversation ranged over fostering the creative impulse, politics, the opening ceremony of the GB Olympics, contrasts in cultural practices, and lots more.

Altogether, more than one could reasonably expect of an extremely good-value B&B.

Thanks for you nice review. We are very much used to hosting guests as a stopover during their trip, often with cars full. Until now, we (and they!) never had problems.
If you choose one of our two G/F rooms, the cars can event be parked next to it.
Enjoy your long trip and take good care of the animals!
Thomas.

We chose this as a stopover en route home and were not disappointed. The owners, Siu-Wan and Thomas welcomed us warmly into their home. After a chat and a drink they booked a local restaurant for us for our evening meal. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotless, spacious and had a large bed ( always a bonus!). Lots to eat at breakfast and the relaxing chat with the hosts over coffee and croissants was an added bonus. If you want a good night's sleep and stopover off the autoroutes en route to the South then this is an excellent choice. We fell in love with their collie puppy and our only regret is we didn't have time to go out the back and see their four sheep. We will return!

We stayed with the owners, Thomas and his wife on the 24th and 25th of December 2011. They were incredibly friendly and helpful and we enjoyed their company very much. We stayed in the downstairs bedroom which was very comfortable and tastefully furnished. The B’n’B is located right on the door step of some incredibly beautiful countryside and Thomas gave as some very good tips (and maps) for exploring the area. The breakfast was great and the place very much felt like a home away from home, a really brilliant place to stay which we would highly recomend.

We spent a delightful night here on our way south last month. This B & B is a treasure - what a charming, friendly couple, very attentive, obviously very proud of their home and their business. The swimming pool was most welcome on such a hot day, and drinks were readily available by the pool. Dinner was superb, all cooked by Wan, generous proportions and incredibly tasty. Breakfast was the same. Excellent value for money, we shall definately return. Thank you Tomas and Wan, you are perfect hosts.
