We were staying in nearby Bourton on the Water and decided to book Sunday lunch at the Lamb and walk there. Lovely walk through fields to get to the pretty village of Great Rissington and a reasonable choice of beers at this pub. We opted for the roast which was excellent, with nice fresh cooked veg (not just the usual carrots and peas) and first class crispy roast spuds. Our friends had starters which, though small, were beautifully presented and imaginative, and our puds were homemade and of a high standard. Service was friendly and efficient. We were very pleased to have chosen this pub and had a very pleasant return walk via a different route to help walk off the excess. Recommended.

We had just one night stop over in The Lamb Inn, very convenient for visiting Cotswold villages. The room was wonderful [we had the Burford suite] with a huge comfy bed. We ate in the pub restaurant but chose the bar menu which was excellent .The pub was hosting darts nite so the little bar was rather too busy to eat in comfort. Breakfast was really good too couldnt fault the service or food. The staff are very nice and friendly and we really enjoyed our belated anniversary stay.

From the outside we thought this was going to be a lovely old pub with a roaring fire and atmosphere on a cold wet January night. But obviously recently re-furbed we found bright lights and food tables all lined up in a row against the window like in a corridor. Plastic leather seats and no character. A large t.v on the wall we didnt want to watch and no-one serving at the bar or remotely interested in the fact that new business had just walked in. We walked out without even getting a drink.
I have to say that looking through the window into the guest bedroom all lit up and on show from the car-park it looked very nice.... as we drove off!

Lovely warm, cosy and relaxing atmosphere with some comfy seating.

Excellent food, the chicken and bacon pie especially nice! burgers also very tasty

Good range of drinks and friendly service - in the summer the beer garden to the side is good to relax and unwind in

Recently refurbished but was delighted to see that the WWII aircraft parts had been preserved and displayed (a bomber crashed into the pub whilst on approach to nearby RAF Little Rissington).
