We visited the restaurant as our lunch break on our tour of the North island and it was simply amazing, such a warm welcome from the owner and the food was absolutely fabulous. Our first real taste of authentic creole cuisine and it was perfect. We loved the quirky atmosphere and could have happily stayed much longer than our time allowed.
I could see that it would be a difficult place to find if you go without a guide but it is so worth the effort and promises a meal and experience you will always remember.
