The hotel is in the middle of no-where in farmland about 5km out of Heidelberg. Thank heavens for my trusty Tom-Tom. Worth finding, however, as it was a delightful overnight stop and convenient for a visit to beautiful Heidelberg. Spotlessly clean and well appointed, the rooms were a reasonable size and traditional in a modern sort of way (if that makes sense!). Bed was comfortable - no air-con though. Proprietor speaks good English and was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was typical continental style - fruit, cheese, cereals, boiled eggs, cold meats cheese and nice bread and rolls served in a bright conservatory area. Wife of proprietor was serving but you'll need a few words of German, ideally. Very pretty outside with lots of flowers, you feel you are really out in the country. Free wi-fi, but I couldn't get a connection.
A pleasant change from big chain hotels
