This is the second time we have visited in a week for breakfast. Despite some negative reviews a family member recommended the restaurant to us.

The food is great value for money, with plenty of choice. I can only comment on the breakfasts of which there are English and american choices.

Service was quick and the staff are polite.

Love the decor, beats other American themed diners out there and is nice for the kids as it has a decent fenced in play area with slides etc.

Looking forward to having a full meal here soon!!

Stayed here Fri 25th July for one night of passion.
Check in was quick and easy. Room was small but sufficient for our needs. Bathroom clean, nice shower. Although we did notice a used shower gel sachet on top of the shower cubicle.
We'd read the reviews for the restaurant so was a bit dubious as to whether to eat there. We decided to go for it and had absolutely no regrets. Our waiter Jack was very attentive and we didn't have very long to wait for our food. Food was of a very good standard and very generous portion sizes. Highly recommend the 'Elvis' burger.
No aircon in the room but a fan that was adequate enough.
3 minor issues with the room, one being the used shower gel sachet left in bathroom, no spoons on the tea and coffee tray, and some cobwebs in the corner of the room. It would have also been nice for a little shelf in the shower cubicle as I take 3 bottles into the shower and had no where to put them.
Breakfast was lovely. We had a full English and a full American breakfast. Again, huge portion size which after a night with my new lady friend, I was well ready for.
All in all, I had a great stay at the 7 Hotel Diner and would (have) recommend it to everyone.

Nice place to stay, we stayed for four nights. Rooms are a good size, bit of road noise until the evening but then quite. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Very large breakfast at a good price. Diner has a 50's-60's menu and prices are very reasonable. Down side, rooms do not have air conditioning for warm summer days. Looking forward to coming back next next year.

Arrive on a Saturday Afternoon...book in was really slow. We had to wait ages while the couple in front check in. As the restaurant was looking busy I went in there to wait. I order drinks which came within ten minutes and was told half hour wait for food. My hubby join me and do did our friend who just arrive. He was told it would be an hour wait for food. Our food arrive and they ask what Our friend and he got his about ten minutes after us. Which was brill. Can not understsnd the wait till seen the size of the kitchen...it is too small for the restaurant size. Shame as people were coming in and then leaving but there were tables for them. The food was lovely and the staff are really friendly.

The room is small but clean and functionable. Only problem very hot night no air conditioning so had to have the window and constant flow of traffic can be noisy.

Breakfast again was slower than most places I have been. A muck up of the order was put right straight away. Good selection and the food again ...great to eat.

One minor hiccup they wash the tables but do not sweep the floor so did not be surprise if you stand on an object...did mention it politely.

Would recommend reasonable priced.

My father, mother and I stayed at 7 hotel diner in July for 1 night.
We had the suite room which was in the loft space, it had two great sized beds (One was a sofa bed) and a huge family bathroom.
We had requested an early check-in due to some particular circumstances which we explained on the phone prior to booking the hotel. The staff were very helpful and attentive to our needs! The room was ready on time, and on arrival the room was fantastic! The decor was lovely, and really added to the atmosphere of the hotel and the diner as it continued throughout which was a great added touch.
The room was clean, however it looked like it needed to have vacuum- but it was not horrendous. The bathroom was immaculate, not a mark anywhere! (They even supplied extra loo roll without being asked!!)
The room had air-con, a TV and a kettle, other extras could have been added on request but we didn't need anything more. The room had plenty of towels, mats and toiletries.
During the evening the room became very hot, there was an extra fan in the room which did help. It was also an exceptionally warm muggy evening.
The beds were very clean and comfortable. They provided plenty of pillows which was great.
The shower was very clean, however not very powerful, it did the job but wasn't anything special. We did not use the bath, but it was a large deep bath and slightly confusing to use- we had to turn all the taps before we got the water going.
We had breakfast in the diner- it was lovely. The service lacked slightly and we did feel slightly ignored at times. They did ask if everything was ok with the food but this was all. We had to try and get the attention of some staff to order more drinks- this was more awkward and difficult than it should have been.
The food it was great, we had two American breakfasts and one English breakfast we couldn't fault them at all- or finish them!
The room leaving time was very fair (11am) as it gave us time to get up, showered, have breakfast and then have some more relax time before leaving.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and would go back if we were around the area!
The rating is based on the whole experience. (hotel and diner)

Room Tip: Avoid the suite if it's going to be a hot day and evening- unless you get an extra fan!

I never write reviews, but we we're so appalled by our dining "experience" this evening at 7 diner, that I had to share.
We we're greeted by a very young but friendly waitress who showed us (3 adults 2 children) to a table.
All seemed fine at first, and they even offered to bring the kids mains with my husbands starter, which I thought was a really great idea. That was the last good thing. We then waited ages for the starter and kids meals to arrive, followed by another long wait for our mains. My husband burger was rock hard around the edges and the chips we're so cold they had gone hard. My mother in law had ordered the chicken caesar salad, which came out with NO caesar dressing on it at all. We asked for some, to be told they had run out of Caesar dressing completely....... Did they think we wouldn't notice it was just a plate of leaves and chicken!!!
The "supervisor" who looked scared to come over, mumbled some sort of apology and agreed to discount the burger ( they took £3.41 off the nearly £14 charge), and to give us the 'Caesar' salad for free.
While this was going on at our table, another gentleman from a nearby table was also taking back his nacho starter, and then promptly left, and the table next to us asked us if we had had to wait long for our food- they had been waiting ages to.
When we complained about the time we had to wait, we we're told that they we're really busy ( the restaurant was half full) and that they also had loads of people in the garden- who all seemed have vanished when we can out 5 mins later.

To top it off they added a 10% discretionary service charge to our bill. It was really the young waitresses fault that they have all been ill trained and we're lacking in leadership, so we used our descretion, and halved the service charge to 5%, before leaving cash on the table and leaving.
Not even a "thanks for coming" as we walked out.

Will never be going back there again.

The room was compact but had everything necessary. It was quiet and comfortable but my complaint is that there seems to be only one key per room and the other rooms kept knocking to be let back in which I found a nuisance. The toiletries supplied consisted of 2 tiny sachets of hair/body wash and a miniscule bar of soap - disappointing. Dinner was good quality, but it took 2 hours for 2 courses! There seemed to be several parties booked in but not enough staff were on duty. The overall 'theme' was cute which would explain its popularity. The free parking was a bonus.
Tip: ask for a hair drier, they are not standard in the rooms.
