I stayed here a few months back and totally forgot to review this place. I did promise the management I would write a review as I was so impressed.
I stay in so many large chain hotels I'm use to being 'just another guest'. This is the opposite of how I felt from check in to leaving at this place.

Good points

-Friendly warming staff
-Baby Sheep!!! lots of lambs
-Lovely pool and HUGE Jacuzzi than will never be busy as theres only a few rooms
-Very clean rooms and nice ish bed

Where you could improve

-The bathroom is tiny - especially the shower cubicles. Try getting rid of the cubicle and just making the whole room a wet room? I couldn't even fit in there honestly!
-A Little hard to find - Maybe get a more nodder sign that stands out a little more. I did drive past a few times ;-)

Would I stay again - Most definitely 100% yes.

Thanks for the great review. The best directions are the ones sent to you in the email confirmation or on our website. Following the Sat Nav seems to confuse. We are glad you found us and enjoyed your stay.

We first stayed here 2 years ago as a couple while my wife was pregnant and had a wonderful time. Second time round we had another great experience going with our young daughter we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room we had was immaculate and well equipped, the superking size bed was great and generally it was a pleasure to be in the room. The breakfast was great and there was a huge range of cereal, pastries as well as the hot cooked breakfast. We used the pool facilities and even though we couldn't convince our daughter about swimming my wife and I enjoyed it as much as before. The highlight for us however has to be the afternoon tea which we decided to indulge ourselves with on our last afternoon, sandwiches, quiche and cakes were presented amazingly and tasted just as good. I'm sure we will be back again as we love this part of Wales, and when we do go we will be visiting Lolfa Cynin again. The staff were friendly and very accommodating of a rampaging toddler, generally we had a very positive experience.

Positives: Family Bedroom, use of the pool, variety of hot and cold breakfast options, afternoon tea, Quiet location but within easy reach of major roads
Negatives: The only thing which is a little disappointing is the lounge which is available for guests to use. Even though it has lots of sofas and a wall mounted TV it feels more like a doctors waiting room than somewhere you would want to sit and relax so we preferred to spend the time in our room. This being said, it did not detract in anyway from the experience for us.

This is the second time we have stayed here, both times have been very enjoyable. The staff are very friendly and gave a warm welcome on arrival, the rooms are very clean and spacious. The breakfasts have a great selection and have a vegetarian option is available and cooked to order. It is situated a little out of the way however don't let this put you off as it is well worth a stay, you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: If you ask for room 2 their is a skylight above the bed were on a clear night you can go to sleep lo...

Excellent venue. May be out the way but not an issue and ideal for a base for the area.
Room was very pleasant and clean. Staff really friendly. Breakfast was good with cooked breakfast made fresh and various options.
Will definitely stay again in the summer hoping for better weather but we made good use of the gym, swimming pool and sauna.
Camarthen is nearby and has a cinema and bowling alley if weather is bad.
No restaurant but we planned on eating out each night anyway.
TIP. Best restaurant in Tenby is The Moorings but need to book.

Room Tip: Room 1 has a large double bed and three singles. We were offered this even though we had booked four...

I stayed at Lolfa Cynin in early April for work purposes requiring me to visit Carmarthen and it was just a shame that I wasn't able to stay longer!
Beautiful surroundings and friendly welcome. There were lots of little touches within the room that really showed how much care and attention the owners take in ensuring their guests have a positive experience.
I would have liked to have used the spa/pool facilities but unfortunately time did not allow.
Bed was very comfortable, room and bathroom well equipped and I had a lovely view of the fields and countryside from my window.
I went into St Clears town for dinner and although it is a small place, I asked staff for a recommendation and had a lovely meal at an Indian nearby.
Breakfast the following morning was excellent, with a wide variety of options available and impeccable service.
Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break! I'll definitely return in the future.

The accommodation was beautiful. Spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Comfy beds, great facilities and plenty of resources in the kitchen.
Only negative is that a swimming class closed the swimming pool and sauna to us at 6pm but not the end of the world!

Spent a couple of nights at Lolfa Cynin while attending the Laugharne weekend - and what fun that was! We booked LC at the last minute and were more than happy with the choice - lovely room, very friendly staff, huge breakfast, and a couple of hours in the pool and sauna before venturing out into the storm - the one thing they couldn't sort for us!

My partner is coeliac but they took that in their stride, two gluten free cereals, bread and crumpets... much appreciated.

Hopefully we'll be back for another Laugharne weekend, and hopefully there'll be space in Lolfa Cynin for us!

Thanks for the lovely review. Arranging the weather is something we struggle with, but we can cater for most dietary requirements ! We are glad you had a great weekend at Laugharne Festival and we will look forward to welcoming you again next year. It is a very popular weekend so make sure you book early!
