What a find !!! We spent two nights in this wonderful B& B. The overall "feel" of the place was very friendly and relaxed. The attention to detail and the high standard of cleanliness was excellent. The room ( Shippon ) was very comfortable and a superb bathroom accompanied the large room. My husband and I are used to high standards in accomodation and this did not fall short of our expectations. I would highly recommend this outstanding B& B! A excellent choice of tea and coffee facilities accompanied with biscuits laid out on a tray, with fresh milk and bottled water in the fridge. Excellent value for money. We will definitely return. Thank you for a very comfortable stay at Smallicombe Farm.

Room Tip: Shippon ( The Garden Room ) was a very good choice for us as it is on the ground floor. My husband...

I chose Smallicombe because I wanted a peaceful country B&B close to Exeter, but what I discovered was above and beyond my expectations! Our accommodations in the Shippon were absolutely lovely. Cute and cozy with all the amenities of a 5 star resort. Breakfast was masterfully prepared with scrumptious locally sourced ingredients, and when we had to skip breakfasts because of early departures for sight seeing, we were graciously offered self service items to make sure our bellies were never empty. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Smallicombe to anyone that wants a more memorable travel experience to cherish forever.

Room Tip: The upstairs room in the Shippon was lovely with sunny sky lights and a nicely finished wash room.

Just back from a three day stay at smallicoombe. We had such a wonderful time. We met the family as well as all the pigs, sheep, cows, ducks and chickens! My son loved collecting the eggs and feeding the chicken with all the other children. There was a lovely play area for little ones with the most spectacular views. It was so peaceful and calming, only the sound of the birds singing and the sheep baa-ing.. What more do you need? Oh yes, a scrumptious breakfast and a comfy bed. Delightful.

We were looking for a rural B&B with a family or en-suite room for ourselves and our 8-year old close to River Cottage. The bunk room and en-suite off the double room were perfect. Great location, friendly family and delicious breakfast, so a real find! And we came away with two lovely sheep fleeces! We will definitely go back.

Small enough to be super friendly and large enough to allow you to have the farm feel. The rooms are not the usual ‘standard’ rooms but they are luxurious – tea, coffee and biscuits in every room (which is a nice touch) and the breakfasts ….just stay here and try the breakfasts ! Seriously the meat is from the famous Smallicombe herd and you really can taste the difference. In fact even if you order something else for breakfast I would suggest that you also order a rasher of bacon on the side just to experience the difference. Trust me it will be worth it ! The whole experience around the farm is very much a welcoming one and that that will ensure that you simply don’t want to leave.

Room Tip: all rooms are superb !

We have stayed here twice now in consecutive years for a brief break away from London and on both occasions it has been a fantastic experience. The accommodation is beautiful, the welcome is warm and the breakfasts are fantastic. This is a triumph of a B&B that I cannot recommend highly enough.

We stayed at Smallicombe Farm earlier this year and had an excellent break dispite terrible weather. The conversions are really well designed, the hosts are great the food is good and we felt very welcome.

The rooms are are a great size and our daughter also really enjoyed the stay.
