My wife and I have just been fortunate enough to be one of the first guests at the brand new Paresa resort (located on Phukets millionaire’s mile, just south of Kamala Beach). The resort consists of a few luxury villas and guest rooms (50 I believe), built with what appeared to be no compromise on a dramatic cliff side setting giving each villa / room a feeling of real privacy and exclusivity. The resort was within easy access to other parts of Phuket, however we were very happy to stay within the resort and relax.
Paresa we were told means ‘heaven of all heavens’ and lived up to expectations. Entry to the resort felt like walking into your own private relaxing sanctuary where you could escape from the world in comfort. It did not really feel like a resort with so much personal space available for each villa. Built on the side of a cliff, one of the first things that we were struck by were the panoramic sea views across the Andaman Sea. From our room the view of the sea was so blue, clear and wide we could see the curvature of the earth. Being a design buff, I felt the whole development successfully combined the best elements of traditional / contemporary design, using natural materials to blend into the dramatic green cliff top environment
Being a brand new resort, the large rooms (and fixtures / fittings and furniture within) were of a very high standard, again giving a feeling of no compromise to quality. Our room (as with all rooms I believe) had access to its own personal infinity pool again with stunning sea views. We also had our own living area with day bed, large flat screen TV and particular attention had been paid to the large bath and shower room area with personal sinks and dressing area.
The main infinity pool for the resort (one of the largest I’ve seen) was stunning, taking full advantage of the uninterrupted sea views, a real sun trap where you could quietly relax. At night the whole resort was softly lit, looking as attractive as night as it was during the day. Private golf buggies were available to drive you to your own individual villa / room.
We dined within the resort, sampling both Thai and Italian cuisine which were both excellent. Although a brand new resort, all staff were obviously very well trained and excellent ambassadors for a luxury resort such as this. Everyone was extremely helpful, polite and willing to go the extra mile to accommodate us.
I’ve uploaded some pictures of sunsets taken from our villa room and hope that one day we will be fortunate enough to visit for another relaxing and luxurious stay.
