As a performer for Cirque Du Soleil I've traveled to over 20 countries in the past year and finding the most authentic healthy food is always at the top of my list of things to do right after landing. I went to Thailand with friends for a week vacation and they recommended the White Orchid. The owner Angela welcomed us in as if we were family stopping in for dinner. The food was so delicious we went back a couple times and even took a cooking class from Angela who shared some of her mouth watering authentic recipes with us. My favorite dishes were the chicken coconut milk soup (Tom kha) and her famous spring rolls which I have to admit we ate all she had. We chose to have dinner there before catching our flight to our next destination and we were crunched on time but that wasn't a problem since she quickly made all of our meals herself and even threw in some more spring rolls to take in our carry on which we didn't think would work but it did!!! If you are looking for true Thai culture and authentic cuisine with a warm welcome then the White Orchid is a must while traveling to Phuket/Kamala.

While the spring rolls were nice, everything else wasn't. The pad thai was the worse we had in our time in Thailand (16 days). And everything was overly spicy when requested to be mild. Mid range to expensive prices.

Put the white orchid on your bucket list! Thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful authentic food. The staff are so welcoming and you are treated like family. She was affected by the tsunami and needs continual support!
A MUST DO!

We stayed just up the road and came to eat here almost every night! The spring rolls are to die for and really are the best in the world! We even got a big hug from the staff the second time we ate there as she was so happy that we returned. The cocktails are great too. The pad Thai is the best I've eaten in Thailand too. A must see place!
