this family owned & run hotel makes you feel like you're just at home. very friendly and helpful with our itinerary. They even keep our luggage for safekeeping while we went to a day tour in our last day.

Wonderful clean basic room and friendly staff!! The rooms were very spacious and very clean. Pathetic rooms were serviced everyday replacing anything you needed. We stayed on level two so we had a little balcony as well. Close to everything, but not on a main road so quiet in the evening. About a five min walk to the beach but has a shady pool should you wish to refresh in there. Wonderful place to enjoy if you are on a budget.

Booked this hotel over the Christmas period and we were very pleased with every aspect of our trip.

The hotel itself is quite small and run by a charming and friendly Thai family. Our room was modern, well equipped and very comfortable. Our room was on the top floor and whilst there is no lift, this was no problem, good exercise I think was the saying. The included breakfast was basic and didn't change much, but it was more than adequate.

The hotel is at the quieter end of the resort, but only a ten minute stroll the nice beach and restaurants.

Kamala Beach is far quieter than some of the resorts on Phuket and we enjoyed it very much, if we visit Phuket again we would certainly consider Kamala Beach and this hotel in particular.

Room Tip: Just be aware that there is no lift, so if stairs are a problem request a lower floor.

I stayed with a friend in February, in a room on the third floor with a lovely view. This is a family-run hotel, and the family are very friendly and accommodating. We had initiallynplanned to stay only three nights, then moved on for two nights to an island and the hotel very kindly kept our luggage for us free of charge, on our return we asked to stay another few days because we liked it so much - no problem. The hotel is a very short stroll from Kammala beach, lovely, and an equally short stroll from the centre, still it is very quiet and we loved to sit out on the balcony in the evening. There are plenty of restaurants nearby , you can get everyowhere on foot in minutes. The hotel owners son runs a taxi service and we hired him for half a day to take us around, very much preferrable to the usual bus tours, and better price. And more interesting to have a local person to chat to. A couple of times we asked the owners for advice on beaches, attractions etc and they were most helpful. The family are very pleasant, honest people, the hotel is absolutely spotlessly clean, the bathrooms are lovely, and we felt really welcome. I'd certainly go there again!!!! It doesn't have a swimming pool or fitness centre, but who needs that with the beach just a minute away!!! The owners run a little cafe downstairs which provides a good breakfast and tea, coffe etc throughout the day. I'd certainly recommend this little gem!!

Room Tip: We had room 304, third floor, with a nicely-sized balcony where you could chill ....really loved it!

On the main street,no parking facilities, but cant hear any automobile noises, small breakfast but you dont need more if you looking for something to just carry you through till 12pm. Room is huge and clean and have the most gorgeous little patio (depending on the room you get). Mosquitos are the only problem , take lots of spray with you, even in the room they pose a problem and the hotel has nothing to offer to fend from being a meal for the evening to the little creatures. about a 100 m (not 30 m) walk to the beach that has lots of little restaurants and lounges to bake in the sun. and if you carry on walking on the main road you get to all the other shops and restaurants. Its a small town not worth spending more than 2 days in, can get boring, no real night life, more for retired couples. Very calm and relaxing. Hotel is not one you would hang around in just sleep, eat and venture out! Very freindly service!!

Room Tip: One with a balcony! room 100 or 101

This is more of a Guest House or B & B than a Hotel. We stayed there in two rooms for two nights in March 2012. The rooms are very clean and tidy. Beds, furniture, TV, fridge Air-con is all very good. Rooms and En-Suite are fully tiled. Everything in this regard is excellent.

Location is also very good for Kamala Beach - 5 minute walk.

There is a seated area facing onto the street that would be ideal for snacks, light meals, beers, drinks etc. None of this is available.

Sadly this area is only used for Breakfast. We found the Breakfast very disappointing. Some cereals, some fruit, some tea and coffee but not at all what you would get at any hotel Buffet Breakfast.

There is one free PC with Internet which is good.

There is no Room Safe - only a communal safe arranged via reception - fill a large envelope and staple it.

The mountain of plastic bottles in the rear un-developed garden is off-putting.

Also, the total lack of any facilities is disappointing. In time, the garden may perhaps be developed. Somewhere to sit outside with access to drinks would be very welcome.

The counter-view is that you could always walk down the road to get whatever you may want. You can certainly stock-up your Room Fridge from the nearby 7/11.

Great then if you want a B & B. But then some online prices we saw were very high for this standard. In our view 40 GBP should be the absolute max. per room per night in March.

Stayed there for 2 nights in late January. Rooms were clean, but way over priced. Tv had 2 channels that worked, even the Thai channels were fuzzy. I happen to lose my bag that had my wallet and the room key. The heartless staff had. No suggestions on how to help, and charged me 2000 baht for a replacement (the room was 2500 baht) clear indication of their greed. Breakfast was a sad excuse. Rooms only had a bar of soap. Terrible service and example of the nice Thai people every where else.
