“Best bar been to in Phuket”
Reviewed 25 August 2013 via mobile

If you want to get away from the tackiness of Patong and experience a real beach bar feel then this is the place. The food and cocktails really good, reasonably priced. It's worth the tuk tuk ride from Patong to Kamala beach, and the walk to the end of the beach. It is a tree house bar, built of bamboo and thatched roof, a very laid back feel. Wasn't very busy last night when we went, they had a film night on. Owners said that they were having a big party this Saturday - we'll miss it, but would be worth going to I'm sure.

“Wow !!”
Reviewed 3 August 2013 via mobile

This beach bar has a little bit of magic .. I've travelled far... along bumpy roads and upon many recommendations and sometimes you get lucky and happen upon one of those really special places.. and here it was ... at the end of the beach ..across a stream, past the novotel, over the rocks, and just when you thought that you'd run out of beach, clamber up a step ladder, into a tree house and a wonderful welcome from Poi.. It was her birthday, she'd just finished the extention (even tree houses need planning!). She brought us and the kids in like old friends .. Sat us down on some bean bags, brought drinks, offered us food, some tunes came on a pretty damn good sound system (exceptional by tree house standards) and as her friends arrived we sank a couple of cold drinks, the waves washed in and the daylight ebbed; it was wonderful.. I'd have stayed 'till the wee small hours if we didn't have the little ones (who thought it was quite an adventure and "sooooo coooool") so as the party started we clambered back down the ladder, into the waves (ankle deep if the tide is in) and off into the glow of Kamala beach .. Bring a torch, sandals or runners for the rocks, be prepared to get your feet wet... but go to Skyla and savour the moment .. Say a big Hi to Poi... And we'll be back - that's a promise!

“Skyla for sunset”
Reviewed 22 March 2013

Loved this place, have a friend living in Phuket and she took us there to watch the sunset. It was amazing, bar is cool drinks were cold what more could you want. We rode our bikes there and had a little trouble finding them in the dark. Maybe a torch or the torch app on your iphone will come in very handy if you are planning a night visit!
