Ever since our tickets were booked 4 months before holidays, I had been extensively researching for a sea view room with economic value. After a lot of searching, I gave up as all good sea view rooms were highly priced or were of extremely low quality. I found this hotel's deal on Groupon and I immediately bought. First thing that I liked about this hotel was extremely helpful staff. Before buying the deal m I emailed them to confirm how this was going to work and I got prompt replies and then I bought it for 5 nights. Our trip got postponed due to work issues so I had to fix different dates and the staff was very considerably helpful in re booking. Impressed by this, we booked an extra night on our own expense. Before reaching, we asked them if they can arrange a pick up and they very honestly suggested us that if we book it through them, it would be costly and booking a cab from airport will be cheaper. They explained how to book and what directions to give to the driver. I was again impressed. On reaching to the hotel, they very patiently checked our booking, offered us cold towel in that hot summer like a bliss and I had amazing ginger cold drink. Our room was a corner room and the view was amazing. Hotel is situated in inner areas of Kathu on a hill giving it great nature views. From our room, we could see both sun rise to the right and sunset to the left. 3 swimming pools all great and good food and not to forget very good buffet breakfast. Rooms are designed in a rustic thai style and they need some touch up but it was good. The best part is that there are free shuttle buses daily 3 times to take us to Kamala Beach and Patong Beach and I found that good as some other tourists which we met said their hotels dont provide. Happy hours in the bar was great and the live music was a pleasant surprise. This resort can be a honeymoon resort as it gives total privacy and can be a family resort as there are so many things family can do together while everyone can have their own time too. Gymnasium though needs some improvement but overall, I loved it and would love to stay here again.

Love this hotel has it all, friendly staff, greatest pool and the breakfasts are wonderful.
Make sure you get a seaview room they are the best in the hotel, with a view which is to die for.
Nice and quiet hotel in Kamala, away from the hustle and bustle of Patong.

We returned once again to the Aquamarine and are staying here on our 3rd night out the 10 we had booked. What can I say? just excellent...
The staff are all new to us from the last two times we stayed but nothing has changed much at all, and that is a good thing! really friendly people and we got an upgrade just by asking and they remembered us as well so that is a hot tip... mention that you have stayed before and they will really look after you.
We even got invited to their VIP cocktail party which was an absolute wonderful time and allowed us and other guests to meet and socialise. Very well thought of and the management all made the effort to meet and greet the guests and get to know them. Well done Aquamarine.
The villa is just beautiful with an amazing view of the ocean and the surroundings. So lovely to be up on the hill amongst the trees and flowers...really peaceful and so quiet. The standars of the rooms is great for the tropics as one can get a musty smell at times from the rooms being closed up and air con on all the time but hey, no big deal for us as they provide a lemon grass oil burner and if all else fails plug in the mozzie zapper provided, smells great!
Clean room and well kept by the super efficient maids.
Restaurant still very good and yes, more expensive than other places but we have arrived in the very wet season and it has poured down, so the thought of spending the extra money on a taxi you may as well stroll down and just eat nice food here... each to their own I guess...
All in all, we are so glad to have returned, just wonder why we have not been for so long.
I can not recommend this place enough, it is just great for a peaceful and relaxing time away from the hassle and tack of Patong but close enough to go if you wish to... as we did often.
Taxi to Patong is 400 Baht each way...gone up since we last visited.
