“Low value for money”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 September 2012

It offers all that a three star hotel should. Unfortunately it lacks on professionalism. When I approached the counter and asked for the room rate, I was given something over 900 Pula. When I queried this rate, the lady behind the reception desk immediately had a better lower rate available, of almost one hundred Pula less. This is not the way it is done.
Breakfast time is at seven. when I got there half an hour later, the coffee was not ready, the tables were not set and so on. Sad!

Room Tip: Away from the courtyard. It could be noisy.

An interesting experience where the staff are incredible polite and helpful but the hotel itself ,although perfectly clean, is in need of major upgrade to bring it inline with the price charged.
The Buffet was interesting offering local speciality such as goat stew but again one expects better quality for the price charged. In general if you have to stop here you will survive but you can find better by driving on to the next major town.

This hotel was a good stop over on our way back home from Chobe. In the dusty town of Palapye, it was nice to find the service friendly, the rooms clean, the linen nice and crisp and everything in good order. The bar was a little sparse and not an ideal sun-downer place for us before dinner, more of a harder drinking bar. We enjoyed the restaurant with its local Botswana section of the menu. You can have Morogo (spinach-like dish), maize porridge, or I forget the last thing which was a local starch (like cassava or something) as side dish alternatives. We enjoyed sampling that and it was tasty. There was an air conditioner in the room, and it was an over-all pleasant experience.
