I have recently spent two weeks at Glenferness, as I work all round Uk staying in many guest houses, i can honestly put this guest house in my top 5 of guest houses i have been to.
Kristina was very welcoming and helpful making sure i had everything i needed. She goes out of her way to make you feel at home, and also greets you every night when coming back to see how your day was, which then leads into a good conversation. I should also mention Douglas too as i really only seen him at the weekends because of his work commitments, but he too was just as friendly with both of them having funny and interesting stories to tell me.
Room was very good slept well each night of my stay, very clean with tea/coffee in room. Room was cleaned everyday and bathroom was also very clean.
Breakfast was Top notch couldn't complain apart from my near to last day Kristina squashed my sausage lol, but she made up for it though
parking was also great and convenient.
So all in all Top place to stay without any problems at all, allot of guest houses cold learn allot from Glenferness.
Go and visit you will honestly agree with me Glenferness is a great place

Thank you from Neil wilks

Room Tip: I think all rooms are quiet my room at back of house was quiet anyway

We stayed here for a family wedding 6 miles away. Coming in (quietly) very late was no problem as we were given a key. A very friendly team are there and they looked after us very well- even making sure there was a fresh lemon for breakfast to liven up a glass of hot water ! The kettle and tea/cofee in the room was most welcome after a long journey.

We spent a very pleasant bank holiday weekend here. Kristina and her husband went out of their way to be helpful. The room was comfortable and spacious - better than many hotels - and the breakfast was adequate. It's located very close to the rail station which makes it easy to get around the area if you don't have your own transport.

Great location, a princely breakfast, excellent room with comfortable bed. Very friendly owners who went out of their way to help us when we could not get a taxi back from a neighbouring village, by personally coming to pick us up. Would thoroughly recommend.

Deserves all the accolades placed on Krystyna and her establishment would recommend to anyone looking for quality in Sussex. Robertsbridge is a delightful little village without the hordes of Battle and Hastings.
A tip to avoid the crowds at Battle... rise early and go to Battle, stroll the deserted streets, see the Abbey with none by yourselves and return to Glenferness in time for breakfast.
With rain threatening our washing wasbrought in, those dry returned to our rooms and others placed in scullery to dry.
We heard the other side of the only poor review done on this establishment and I can assure you I know which I believe

Glenferness offers spacious rooms tastefully appointed by two hospitable hosts, Christina and Doug. After day trips throughout the Kent and Sussex countryside, we looked forward to our comfortable accommodations for restful evenings.

We stayed at the annexe to Glenferness, in Robertsbridge, for 4 nights over New Year, and would definitely recommend it. Our annexe had its own entrance, and was clean and comfortable, with a large bed in which we slept well, a 2-seater chair, a table and chairs and a TV. It looks as though the garden out the back would be beautiful in summer, but we chose to visit at a dank time! The annexe was self-catering, with 2 hobs, a microwave and a sink, and we happily used it for cooking. All the cooking utensils, equipment and crockery were provided (and specific items were happily provided upon request).

The owners, Kristina and Doug, were extremely friendly and hospitable. They cooked us an excellent English breakfast every morning, cleaned our room daily, and were very happy for us to use their lounge as our own (although, in fact, we were perfectly comfortable in the annexe, I imagine this might be welcome to guests in the main B&B). They were also very helpful, always willing to lend us any items that we needed/had forgotten to bring with us. They also gave us plenty of advice about the local area, including walks, local pubs and New Year's events.

The B&B is situated extremely close to the railway station (max 2 mins walk), on the mainline from London. We arrived by train and had no problems at all.

Walks in the local area were enjoyable, with footpaths across farmland and through light woodland. The George (a 10 minute walk away at most) was an extremely welcoming country-pub with excellent food - their lamb was to die for. All in all, we had a great holiday. (But the fish & chip/Chinese take-away gets a huge thumbs down from us - avoid at all costs!!)
