Located after padang padang beach..just follow the street until you find the signboard into the right..it is near the blue point beach also...you have to go through a lot of steps to go down to the beach...it is not like stairs in padang padang beach...more friendly stairs..but the beach is more isolated...many big rocks, corals..cant lie down on the sand,me my self enjoy the beach through the resto above the rocks waiting for sunset...and many of visitors too. This beach is kinda for surfers..

Suluban is one of the more famous beaches in Uluwatu. The actual beach is quite small and you need to take several flights of stairs to get to the bottom, but once your down there it's very beautiful, a little touristy, and fun to play in the water. Restaurants line the cliffs above, so it's a good spot to make a day trip to. One of the restaurants has a private patio for groups to rent out for $40 per hour or something totally reasonable like that, if you're with a group who wants to have a private party on a cliff on the beach. Many people come here to surf as well, but only come if you know how to steer a surfboard.. the waves are pretty powerful and if you don't make it into the beach alcove, you might end up getting smashed into a cliff.

i didn't like the rain when i went there… but the cliffs gives the beach texture and contour… if u don't surf, just go up on the cliffs and chill at the restaurant...

I thought this is the best beach in pecatu, eventhough the way to the beach is so hard. the beach very clean, the wave is very good for surfing, and also with sunset view that you can see it around 18.15. It's so amazing.....

Non-pro surfers CAN surf at ulu! If you can consistently catch a wave and go left, you'll have amazing rides here. I describe myself as low intermediate and I was fine. Just go at mid-high tide, on a smaller day (less than head high) and surf the leftmost breaks. You don't need boots as it's quite deep even at mid-rising tide. Go with a surf school or local your first time to learn how to paddle back in and what part of the lineup is appropriate for your level. Ulu can be very dangerous due to steep cliffs surrounding the only entry/exit beach and the currents pushing you away from this beach. The breaks further out and low tide are definitely for more advanced surfers! The best part is that there are a bunch of shops that will sell great photos of you surfing (make sure to negotiate a good price per photo).
