There is no photo or description that can do this place justice, but I will give it a go.

There were 5 of us and we stayed in the Clubhouse and the Garden Bungalow. From the moment you walk in you are greeted and spoilt by the most friendly, beautiful, helpful staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting in Bali (or anywhere!). Whilst you can’t take your eyes off the breathtaking view, the simple setting and vibe of Mick’s Place sent me and my friends into a super relaxing and content state. For three days we watched the surf, sipped on Bintang and Apple Ciders and ate (and ate and ate and ate) the delicious food made by the gorgeous staff. With the amount of drink and food consumed – and most importantly the quality, our bill at check-out was SO cheap.

Mick’s Place is certainly not your regular 5 Star resort – there is no aircon, no hot water, the stairs to the beach are not for the faint hearted and you’re in quite a remote area (nothing a scooter can’t fix), but I think this adds to the amazing vibe and quirkiness to what is now my favourite place in Bali!

A huge thank you to Mick, Tracey and the team for making our trip one to remember. WE WILL BE BACK! :)

The best ocean view in my bali trip. Must go hotel and will recommend to all. We stayed in the sunset room, very beautiful. There is only one little problem, the light in the room is very dark so when we check in at 07:30 pm we have to use our iphone light to find our small things in the luggage. You'd better check in earlier.
Anyhow, the view is really so so awesome and the hotel is so well designed. We feel so regret that only spent two nights there. Next time wish could spent more days.

Micks place is amazing, the view is breathtaking, and the staff are extremely friendly. We had the Clubhouse which is a two bed hut with a shared bathroom. There are nets for a mozzie free sleep, but we did have some trouble with a huge gecko that "barked" through the night and kept us awake. The staff moved him into the nearby jungle but either he found his way back or another moved in within a couple of days. Three nights is minimum stay, but you will want more. Lovely meals if you don't want to go out into the main area. There are a lot of steps down to the ocean, which means a struggle to get back up, but you can snorkel, swim or join the many surfers out on the waves. This is our favourite place in all of Bali and we have been there 15 times! Take a trip to Finns Beach Club at Samara Resort. You will need to pay, 250,000rp to use the inclinator to get to the bottom of the cliff but 150,000 will be taken off your bill for food and drinks. The inclinator is the only way down.

Room Tip: Honeymoon suite has its own pool and is very private, and is the only hut with hot water. there are...

No hot water , you need a torch in your room its so dark , not doors or windows. PERFECT!

Food was really excellent and the staff are some of the nicest we came across in out last trip.
We had 3 different rooms including the more private one on the cliff edge. they are all good.
the rooms reminded me more of Africa or Fiji than Bali but who cares just do it!

We are not surfers either. Water lovers for sure but you dont need to be a hard core surfer to enjoy yourself here.

We had the honeymoon bungalow, and wow. It was fantastic! Food, staff, location and the room. We had the gorgeous view of the beach. The place makes you want to stay at the bungalows instead of going out. Definitely want to go back again.
