I've been in this camp just for a week but that was defenetly way too short! Great people around and nice friendly staff!!! Surf was every day!! This camp is the best I've ever been!! And I have seen a lot all over the world!!
The rooms are nice and clean! You've got all what you need! AC/Fan etc...
Most of the time you'll spend with all the others at the bar, beach, surf, sunset watching at single fin or what ever you like to! The Pool is great for get tanned and having an icy cold beer! It very quiet and you can book the camp driver or hire a scooter at the camp!!!

So it is the best for you if you want to have a nice atmosphere good people around and going for a good surf!!!

But there is one thing you should know about the camp:
it's all about surfing and having just couple of beers at knight! it is not a party hostel!!

so just enjoy your stay at this camp!
I'll go there every year as much as I can from now on!!!

Rapture Surf Camp is a very well-laid-out owner-run establishment in Bingin. I am a non-surfer, but was made to feel very comfortable by Josh, his wife and their team. Josh is able to arrange a driver to various places in Bali including Ubud at very short notice. The breakfasts are delicious, and we didn't wait long for our made-to-order choice. Having stayed at other surf camps (boyfriend is avid surfer), I can say that this is the first where I saw everyone really interact, and make genuine friendships. I would recommend this camp to anyone who wants to try the Bali waves!

Hey Tracey i would like to thank you for your kind words and loved having you both in the camp. You both fit in well in the camp wish you could have stayed longer. The hardest part of running a camp is meeting good people as they always leave. Keep up the diving and bring lee back sometime soon. Thanks

I loved Bali more than any place I've ever travelled and the camp made it that much better.
Mellow, comfortable, friendly and close to fun waves.

The instructors were great and the 'behind the scenes staff' were fantastic too! So friendly!

We stayed in the Villa which I could easily live in for ever :)

We also bought surf-bikinis from Maginis Bikinis and it's still my favourite pair!

To be very honest, Josh wasn't as friendly as I'd imagine someone running a gorgeous surf camp in an exquisite part of the world would be BUT everybody has their own things to deal with and I respect that it may have been a bad 2 weeks for him.

Thank you to everyone who made it a holiday of a lifetime!

PS DO NOT MISS a night at Single Fin!

Hey Im glad you had a great time here im sorry if i wasnt as friendly as i should be but its not easy running a camp fulltime especially living there aswell i try to keep in the background low profile. Its been a hard Month September after peak season and all and also having new staff but i will have a new manager to run the camp from the end of October as its to much after 12 years living in a camp so im sure next time we see you hopefully ill be more full of energy and Friendly. I guess its like anything if you do to much of it, it becomes difficult in the long run. Thanks for you kind words and we hope to see you sometime soon.

I really can't fault this place at all. The minute you walk in, there is this amazing sense of calm. It's wonderful. Josh and Maggie have built a beautiful space and they are both wonderful people with very interesting stories to tell. The staff and surf instructors are very welcoming and just super happy people which you can feel really rubs off on you by the end of your trip. Basically, when you come to leave (if you ever do!) = you will leave happy, refreshed and with great new friends. I would go back in a heartbeat.

I spent a week as a beginner, the place is beautifully decorated and encroached into the wild. It's a peaceful spot to chill out and meet friendly people.
The only thing I would reccomend to Josh, the owner, is to improve the guest service, in particular:
The pick up to/from the airport is well above the what you can get managing it by yourself. The pickup driver working for the camp, charges differently time by time.
Differently from most other surfcamp, here wifi is not free.
For some reason you have to pay, an honestly cheap price, for the bbq the camp set up. It's not a surprise you find out at the moment, but it doesn't make much sense to me.
There are very few teachers for the amount of people, especially beginners, that attend lessons.

Yeah your right about taxi prices ive finally got a driver that looks after my clients with the right price its not easy here you only find out after when someone tells me but all sorted now. The wifi is to slow when you have unlimited i have cheap wifi cards and it gives us all top speed for downloads and easy access without waiting so thats a bonus but all 3 camps out here all charge for wifi aswell. Surf instructors i have 4 and i believe its more than enough as i usually have 4 clients per instructor as other camps have 20 guests and 10 guides and then the surf is so crowded nobody can surf. My guides offer better lessons than other camps anyway and always look after the guests real well. Thanks for the comments i will try to improve on all of them but somethings just arnt possible.

Despite surfing not being my forte, my stay at Rapture was fantastic.
The staff and crew looked after us like kings and queens.
The grounds of the camp were very beautifully maintained and provided a relaxing space for all.
The food was great and the BBQ nights were the best!! Fresh fish on the barby was delish!!
Meeting other travellers was the highlight... even though our group were the "oldies" we were made to feel welcome and had a great time

After my third trip to the camp I'm finally getting a chance to write a review. Rapture is definitely a top notch surf camp. The staff makes is completely comfortable for everyone from complete beginners to advanced surfers. No matter the time of the year, they will put you on some waves... The environment is super relaxing and is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta that keeps it chill. Just show up with some boarshorts and you'll be on waves the next morning... you'll leave with a bunch of new friends and some killer memories! The food is pretty damn good and Sunny's Lasagna than ya mamas. Roger, Enda, and Monat give killer messages as well... didn't get one but make sure you ask about em...
