Four couples stayed in this beautiful villa for 4 nights while we played golf at New Kuta. The villa is stunning with 2 magnificent pools. You have an uninterrupted view of the ocean which looks like a city at night with all of the fishing boats bobbing in the sea. The staff were wonderful and cooked us an amazing seafood BBQ on our first night. Lobster, prawns, whole fish, $100 for 8 people, amazing. We also ate in on another night and were served traditional Balinese food, delicious. There is a car and driver at your disposal and an extra car be hired if needed. For the short trip to local restaurants one car is sufficient. We had massages on the lovely roof top terrace everyday, $15 for 1 hour, great value.
We would love to return to this lovely quiet villa.

There are 12 of us staying in the villa. Its a beautiful Balinese villa with two swimming pools and a hot jacuzzi tub. Facing the ocean sea view. Our butler was friendly, nice and efficient. The villa is in a secluded area in Uluwatu, 30 mins away from the Legian Street. If you plan to spend most of your time relaxing in the villa, this is a great place.
But there are some improvements needed at this villa. Before we went Bali, we called to ask about charges on transportation because there are 12 of us. They only provide 1 car(complimentary), able to fit 6 ppl. So we asked for an extra car and we are aware of the charges. But when we got there, they charged us 1 more extra car for our luggage bags which they didn't inform us.
The villa needed maintenance upgrade. A lot of electric sockets were not working. Floor is dirty/sandy, no room slippers. They didn't provide hair dryers for all the rooms. Safe box in the room is not working. Certain days, there's no water supply, the butler have to go out to buy water due to the secluded area in Uluwatu.
But overall, we enjoyed our stay there. Good place for a group of friends.

12 of us rented out this entire villa in June 2012 and it was the best holiday of our lives. The villa is absolutely magnificent.
There are 6 bedroooms (would recommend not renting out the 6th room as it is under the main house and although of very high standard, the only windows are the doors and so it's very dark even in the full light of day so you can't relax in your room if you wanted to - which you wouldn't anyway as the day beds are by the pool!!).
The staff were amazing and as the house came with a cook, housekeeper and driver, we were utterly spoiled. The chef Tahiya is a fantastic cook - we all paid $10pp per day and had 3 gourmet meals daily.
The house is open and airy - we felt like rockstars with the two swimming pools and as we rented out the villa ourselves, we could swim any time of the day or night - which we did! The rooms are gorgeous, each one with a private bathroom. There is a full kitchen but as we never cooked as Tahiya was in charge, we had nothing to worry about. Nann took care of any laundry requests we had and we went home with a full suitcase of clean clothes (for a small fee).
The location is 45 mins south of Kuta so if you are looking for a party, this is not the place - it is unbelievably relaxing and calming. It is however a short walk to Uluwatu beach (surfing only) and so we had many cocktails watching the magnificent sunset from the numerous bars on the cliff.
Lagen Cliff Villa is the most luxurious place we've ever stayed in and extremely reasonable if you rent out with a crowd - we will be back!

Room Tip: Choose the two rooms that open onto the infinity pool - the views over the ocean are spectacular!!
