Good view, nice and very relaxing hot spring pools. Helpful and friendly staffs but a little bit overpriced compared to how old the hotel and rooms look and feel.

Breakfast was horrible. Everything was distasteful. There was also no butter, only margarine, which made me even sicker.

My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights after travelling from Haulien by scooter. Be aware that the steep and winding journey through the mountain roads will take a LOT longer that you think. However it was worth it to arrive at this great gem of a hot springs hotel. The room was comfortable, clean and the shower nice and hot (heated by springs). The staff were friendly and helpful. Manager Anthony spoke perfect English and went out of his way to give us advice on the area. The spa pools are fantastic!! Great for weary travellers. We spent a day hanging out by the pool... very relaxing!

Stayed two nights here. The food at the restaurant was pretty bad, you are much better off going to the small restaurant over the road as the food there is excellent. What really annoyed us was the response from the hotel reception when a group of travelers decided that the non-smoking rules didn't apply to them. They were sitting in their rooms, smoking heavily with the doors open and making the whole floor, including our room STINK! This is despite non-smoking notices everywhere saying that it's a NT10,000 fine if you smoke. When we informed the hotel of the floor and exact room numbers who were smoking, their response was "so?"
Thy did absolutely nothing about it - very poor.

Room Tip: Get a mountain view and inform them if they dont enforce non-smoking you will not pay

The view is amazing. Love the hot spring pool and the food. The hiking tour organized by the hotel in the morning was a nice touch. The staffs are friendly and helpful. My family all enjoyed our stay there. I highly recommend this hotel for those that want to relax in the wild mountains.

We drove to this hot spring hotel after we did our 12-mile bike ride in Kuan Shan. It was very relaxing to soak in the thermal pool and do the water spa. The outdoor pool is not very big, but effective enough to soothe our soared muscles. For the dinner, there are the pre-set combination dishes for 4 persons or the fixed menu of 6 choices. Since there is only 3 of us, we ordered the fixed menu ones: the stir-fried wild hog, smoked chicken, onion & ginger chicken for NT$299.00 each. They were deliciously prepared. After dinner around 8pm, we attend the "mochi workshop" to make mochi from the cooked sweet rice and taste it after done. We were also invited to learn to use the bow and arrows to shoot the target like the aboriginal tribes do. It was a fun experience. Next morning after breakfast, we went with the hotel manager to a 30-minute guided tour to see the beauty of the Wulu Gorge and to visit the 6 small mini hot spring. On the way we were given the history and the natural background of this magnificent valley. After the short hike, we went back to take some photos of the steel suspended bridge. Even though it is a short one day stay, we totally fell in love with this place. The room is spacious and clean; the restaurant serves quality food; the entertaining programs are well organized; the staff are friendly; the hot spring is excellent; the natural setting is gorgeous, we will definitely come back again when possible. The only flaw of this stay is that the in-room 2-person hot spring tub is too small. I strongly recommend to book the room without the tub, and use just the outdoor pools.
