I picked Casa de Angie for our family of 7's 3D2N stay based on the good reviews here. I have nothing to complain about the premises as it has a nice environment. They are Karaoke room, tea appreciation corner (The host, Angie worked in a tea company for 10 over years) and a big garden in the premises.
The continental breakfast was home-made by Angie and her mum. The first breakfast was a bacon sandwich, home-blend soy drink, fruits and coffee/tea. The second breakfast was also the home-blend soy drink, bacon 'prata' wrap, fruits and coffee/tea. I would say that it would be more ideal if they vary their breakfast items for the 2 breakfasts (as in, not to have bacon for the 2 consecutive breakfasts or have local breakfast items). Also, it will be great too, to add alternative drink choices like, fruit juice(s) for the guests. Oh well, I am too demanding :P Overall, the breakfast was good.
This B&B is located near ShouFeng train station (寿丰) or about 25-30min away from Hualien city centre or Hualien train station. The pick-up from ShouFeng train station is FOC. However, the one-way trip from Hualian Station to the B&B location for 7 of us was NT1000, kindly arranged by Angie. However, i then realised that it seems a bit expensive. Yuli's Juhu Homestay's owner, sent and charged us NT1000 from Juhu to Angie de Casa, and it was almost a 2-hr journey. A transfer trip from Taoyuan Int'l airport to taipei city on a MPV was only NT1200 (a 30-40min trip). If you are travelling by train, i would suggest that staying in Hualien is more convenient as most B&Bs at Hualien provide free pick-up from Hualian station and the train schedule from Hualien Station is more frequent.

My mum and I really wanted the best possible minsu experience so many people talk about for Taiwan. The short 3 days stay could be summed up in one word - "authentic". In all aspects of the word - whether it's the sincere thought that went into every furnishing, meal or trip recommendation. Anqi and her mum are truly sincere hosts who want their guests to have the best Hualien experience. We especially enjoyed the after dinner conversations, these are what make a minsu stay so much more meaningful. Will definitely come back to this second home if we have the chance to revisit Hualien.

I had the pleasure of staying at Casa de Angie for 2 nights during my time in Hualien. It was originally recommended to me by family members and its safe to say that I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the B&B.

The B&B itself is located in the middle of a small village, surrounded by a picturesque landscape of fields and mountains. The rooms are warmly decorated and extremely spacious.
Angie and her mother are both wonderfully hospitable hosts - providing my friends and I with lots of information about the area, helping us to organize a day trip to Taroko Gorge and preparing an excellent breakfast made with local organic produce.

I would recommend Casa de Angie to anyone visiting Hualien and wanting to escape from the hustle and bustle of daily city life.

If you come to Hualien, be sure to stay at Casa de Angie. Clean and beautiful architecture and decor. Very delicious homemade, healthy breakfast. The owner, Angie and her mom are super friendly and knowledgeable. Please do make the time to chat with them. Angie is a great story teller. This is going to be my "home" in Hualien now.
