The hotel is value for money, but at the last point of MTR.
It takes almost 1 hour from Taipei city to reach there. Advisable for tourists but not business travellers.
Decent rooms, nice and friendly staff, average breakfast .
Location is near to MTR , just 10 minutes walking distance.
Near to restaurants like Pizza Hut, Dominos's, Subway etc.

At first glance, the hotel seemed to be in the middle of nowhere (nowhere for a tourist), but its about a 10-minute walk away from the MRT, night market, and some restaurants like Subway, Pizza Hut, Domino's and Mo's Burger. Hotel is about an hour away from Taipei Taoyuan International Airport (without traffic)

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They tend to your every need. You can see that well in the room: the two pairs of slippers provided are not the same, one has a logo, the other was plain - which helps you identify which one is yours. Even the toothbrush comes in different color, the glass also different.

Room has LAN connection, but Wifi can only be accessed at the huge lobby/waiting area. Oh, the waiting area has a lot of magazines which you can read and take home, its free.

Bed is very comfortable, and they have a lot of English channels on TV.

Food is ok. Breakfast is so-so, but at least some of the food items changed everyday. We stayed for 4 days here. Lunch is fairly cheap, and the food is good.

Hotel is 10minutes away from the Metro, including an uphill and downhill walk that bombards you with freezing winds in December.

The area the hotel is in is quite barren, save for a Family Mart (7-11 clone) behind the hotel.

Breakfast was terrible, but we did eat after the tourists. Still... it was terrible, and eating last is not really a good excuse to put out that kind of food.

Rooms were spacious, a vast number of channels to watch tv on, beds comfy, service is great.

Free internet as well.

Be warned though, if you visit the city alot, this hotel is not for you. It's way too far out, the journey back to the hotel after a long day is just torture. A cab ride from ximending is about 380 TWD, if I remember correctly. Definately less than 500.

Decor was minimal, it looks pretty much like any other hotel to be honest, nothing fantastic to write home about.

One big thing no one mentioned is that the toilet is seperated by a frosted glass(?). What it means is that you can see the outline of someone in the bathroom through the glass.

And..... there is no lock for the bathroom. Just a swivel door that anyone can open. Sink is outside as well, for some reason.

That's my review, thanks for reading.

The hotel decor and ambience is defnitely very welcoming. the bed is comfortable and the toilet and room amenities are clean and well maintained. The breakfast is good. The 2 drawbacks on this hotel is location, which is quite out of city of Taipei but accessible with train. and this hotel hosts loads of Mainland Chinese tourists and breakfast time can be choatic albeit with restaurant attendant policing the unnecessary behavior.

Well... firstly, this hotel advertises itself a 5-star hotel. From the facilities (no pool, no gym, nothing), the decoration and the service provided, I would only give this hotel at most 3 stars. Don't be fooled by the pictures of the Asia Pacific Resort. They have nothing to do with the hotel.

The location of the hotel is quite far away from Danshui MRT station. It gives you a good 15-minute walk. The pavement is quite narrow and the road is quite busy even at night so be careful.

About the room, I paid 6000TWD for a four-people room. I would expext a 5-star room. No... the decoration of the room is even worse than the 3-star hotel I stayed in Taipei City. The room is very simple... the furniture cannot be plainer.

About the service of the front desk, especially the male staff, they never greeted any of the customers - no smile, poker face.

One word - poor!
