If you are looking for any book in Taipei, remember to visit Eslite Bookstore's Xinyi Branch.
If you have a one hour break in Taipei, remember to visit Eslite Bookstore's Xinyi Branch.
If you want a cup of Starbucks in Taipei, remember to visit Eslite Bookstore's Xinyi Branch.

Located within a 5 min walk from Taipei 101, it offers more than just books, and is actually a 4 story building.

Inside of the building, you can find restaurants on the basement, shops on the first floor, and books and magazines on the 2nd and 3rd floor, and also an auditorium with hosted events on the 4th floor.

It is more than just a bookstore, it also has Starbucks right at the entrance, and a lot more surprises and boutique shops.

On the 4th floor, there is a unique TzuChi Bookstore, which sells a lot of Buddhism related books by my master Venerable Cheng Yen. There are also organic soap shops, lot of bathing goods shops, and some toys for your kids.

Enjoy a break during your trip to Taipei?

You gotta go to Eslite Xinyi ^_^

This place is more than a book store. We spent 5 hours here and still didn’t manage to finish browsing everything. The book section is extensive and has a nice calming atmosphere. Unlike overseas bookstores, they don’t mind you standing there and read through the books.

There are also fashion shops, food, toys, etc. Definitely a nice place to visit and a break from the streets of Taipei.

Amazing place! My time was limited but I could have easily spent hours here. There were so many English books, so much stationery, lots of travel accessories...you could spend all of your money! I went on a Sunday and it wasn’t crowded at all. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience, I just wish I could have stayed longer!

Excellent source of English books - probably the best I've found in Taipei. Pleasant setting in the Eslite department store and very conveniently located right next to city hall bus station.

There’s an amazing selection of books but it’s way more than that!
We spent an enjoyable 3 hours browsing around this 7 floor shopping mall and barely covered a quarter of it. We particularly enjoyed the kids section that had a great selection of clothes, toys, necessities etc.
The animal section particularly enthralled my 10 month old grandson.
The restrooms and esp the facilities for young children and breastfeeding mums are super.
