Lovely peaceful place you get in touch with your deity... Temple pond full of fishes you can feed them... Tranquility, Beauty of this place will keep you wondering... Hard work done centuries back tell your their story and belief of theirs...

Though bit rattled by earthquake... Place still tell its story and keep you mesmerized...

Motorable single width road... Nothing around except beauty of temple & faith posed by people...

If architecture and archaeology interest you, do schedule time for Masroor rock cut temples. The rock cut temples are beautiful and have been maintained quite well by ASI, destruction wrought about by 1905 Kangra earthquake not withstanding.

We visited the temple in end July' 14, at the peak of monsoon, and the greenery around the temple was a sight to behold. There are ancient statutes of Lord Rama, his consort Sita and younger brother Laxaman in the garbh- griha. Although it is not a living temple, yet the local ASI caretaker has tried to maintain the decorum of this shrine.

must have been very beautiful at the time it was made but because of the nature of the rock, it is crumbling.... the ASI is doing its bit to preserve it, but perhaps more can be done

Can you believe it that this place is cut out from one rock??
Carry a camera for some amazing shots for you will find this ancient place amazing (that the best word i have to explain it:)

This is called architecture and science. Today's era places come nowhere close to this kind of technology - can today's humans think of building places like these!!

If you are into history and are looking for a peaceful place..then this place is for you.You will enjoy the drive to the temple as the roads are very good. You will get to see the countryside. You will truly amazed by the temple as its really very beautiful. There something divine..Something very peaceful about the place. It is more beautiful than what is shown in the pictures. There is a pond nearby where you can feed the fish . Don't forget to take your own food as there are hardly any restaurants nearby. Its a place which is worth visiting. Don't miss it at any cost.
