Our stay at Tiriguro Lodge was exceptional. The location is amazing, it cools off at night which is a really nice break after the daytime heat, the pool is small but refreshing with a great view. The attention to detail is so impressive that I found myself looking for problems... but fear not, I really couldn't find a thing to complain about even if I wanted to. The hosts are very kind and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. This is a great location to use as a home base to visit San Jose, Manuel Antonio, the Nicoya peninsula and more. It's an oasis of peace, beauty and relaxation. We have raved about the lodge to all our friends and family. You will not be disappointed.

We can't decide what we loved most about our stay at the Tiriguro Lodge: the jaw-dropping beauty of the place or the warm-hearted attention by Myriam, Didier, and Maëlys. Then when you add in the stunning value represented by the truly modest cost, it's very easy to recommend Tiriguro Lodge to fellow travelers to Costa Rica.

We loved the way the rather warm days cooled to a pleasant evening temperature at sunset.

The pool is pristine and refreshing. For dog lovers, the family's delightful Yellow Lab is makes for hilarious company.

We received responses to our exploratory emails that were as close to immediate as such things get. Be prepared for a rough road for the last three kilometers. It's part of the adventure and contributes to Tiriguro Lodge being both accessible and off the beaten track, all at the same time.

My boyfriend and I stayed here our first night in Costa Rica and it was such a great way to start our trip! We had a long drive from the Liberia airport, so we got in after dark but even then the view was absolutely beautiful. When we booked online we were a little confused about how to get there, but with Didier's directions we had no problem at all finding the property! Our room was neat and clean and we had everything we needed there. At night the breeze was perfect and you could hear all the birds chirping in the morning! They have a beautiful pool and we ate breakfast outside while looking over the incredible view from their backyard. The breakfast we had was hands down the BEST we had our entire trip! Didier took the time to tell us about all the different fruits they prepared and my boyfriend and I had so much fun trying each type (plus the crepes were incredible!) We hope we return to Costa Rica again and if we do we will definitely return to Tiriguro Lodge!

we really enjoyed our stay at this lodge, one night was really too short. the pool was perfect after a hot day in town. beautiful countryside setting with good views. be prepared for a bit of a rough drive up the unpaved roadto the lodge, definitely worth it though. a high quality, fresh breakfast included beat our expectations. friendly owners.
