Arrive in car park and lots of leaves blown up against the hotel not swept giving the entrance a poor first impression and lack of attention to detail. A general feel of untidiness as soon as you pull up. This subconsciously starts you looking for faults inside such as the fading Matt paint all over the place and the attempt to make the place look classy and modern when actually it looks cheap and tacky. We had a business meeting in one of suites with bacon sandwiches, coffee and tea. As always, with this type of event, the bacon was stone cold even though we tucked in as soon as they arrived, also can't abide all the fat left on bacon when in a sandwich, take one bite and the whole rasher comes out because you simply can't cut through the fat with your teeth, god help those with false teeth, I suspect they would stick to coffee. Why don't chefs know this, don't they ever have bacon sandwiches themselves, it's pure laziness. Consequently I left the hotel, unimpressed. An evening meal or wedding event maybe different, who knows?More
