Just a few minutes north on main road from Bronte, this is a lovely hotel with a good restaurant.
* NOTE: They do weddings (A LOT!) so there is a possibility the quiet night you are expecting will NOT be quite at all - as there may be many guests walking around. Some previous posts saying there were loud music from a DJ until very late night - so check that BEFORE you book.
Luckily on our stay the wedding was in the afternoon and early evening, so we did not enjoy the grounds in the daytime (we chose to go for a drive into smaller roads closer to Mt. Etna) but we did enjoy our time with a drink between 8pm-9pm before dinner.
The hotel rooms are basic, not luxurious. We did have to change rooms as the toilet overflowed three times...which was nasty. (luckily as it was refilling). They did put us in a new room because of that - but no offer of compensation or even a glass of wine to make us feel better about it.
Bedding was fine. Towels were basic. Wifi was good. Service staff were all very nice especially the two younger women at the front desk - very kind. They even offered to take our picture. Free parking right by the place. there were safes in the room.
We also ate at the restaurant which although the dining room is really too sterile, the service (by an older gentleman) was excellent and the food was really VERY good. Though once again, it has to be said, there was no charm to the dining room.
The grounds by the fountain with the big ball lights was lovely. The small train that encircles Mt. Etna goes by and honks every few hours (Charming) and the view of Mt. Etna from this hotel is unsurpassed. SIMPLY A STUNNING VIEW - which is why you really want to be there anyway.
It is our hope that they realize this could be a great hotel location, and though the money made on weddings is important to their business, if they could compartmentalize the weddings from the hotel guests somehow (perhaps another out building) it would make your experience and stay here better - and I bet hotel reservations would go up.
Despite the weddings - we would stay here again.

Room Tip: Room on upper floor is best.

He were invited to a wedding taking place at Fucina di Vulcano and decided to spend there 2 nights altogether. We had an amazing time both at the wedding and as hotel guests

To start with, the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. They showed us a real Sicilian hospitality and our 1,5-year old daughter was fully in love with them.
There was a great choice of food for breakfast and the staff kept on bringing more and more ;) We also ordered some delicious Italian antipasti. The views from the restaurant are breath-taking.
Our room was very clean and specious. There was a baby bed waiting for our girl, as agreed in advance.
A great advantage was a large car park and a beautiful garden.
We loved our stay there and will be coming back for sure!
Grazie mille! :)

Room Tip: stunning views, Etna views, green, relaxing, great food, great staff

This hotel has fantastic views over Mount Etna and is very clean and tidy, modern design and everything you could want in the rooms. But it lacks any charm or atmosphere and for the first time on our trip to Sicily it felt like we were checking in for a weekend conference in Cologne! If all you want is efficiency and cleanliness and yes friendly staff then this is fine. But if you want to feel you are in Sicily not Cologne (apart of course from the mountain!) then you'd be better off elsewhere. We also discovered once we had checked in that there was to be partying until 02.30 a.m. The staff were very helpful with suggestions for an alternative and we left. Nothing wrong with this place - just anodyne!

Room Tip: Make sure you get a mountain view.

We booked the hotel about a month and a half in advance. A couple of days before we went I received an email that there will be a party with MUSIC on the night we were gonna stay there. We had already planned the whole holiday so we could not cancel. We had been up from 3am in order to travel and at night we could not sleep till about 2am or later due to the loud party there was and the DJ shouting etc. On a positive note views are very nice and the staff were really really nice. It is just not a hotel in my opinion cause you cannot combine a hotel with a party hall!

This is a "home away" hotel: pleasant workers, spacious beautiful double restaurant and has always - smiling, descent and an interactive manager.
Good and nutritious varieties of food from fast, hygienic and well trained cooks served by patient waiters and waitresses who are humble and ready to assist in making choices from the menu.
Neat and serine surroundings for relaxation outside.
Big rooms, porch and big car parking space.
Located at a vantage point to offer the opportunity to view beautiful Mountain Etna.
Constant room cleaning, provision of drinks and water in room refrigerators everyday.Television for information and entertainment.
The receptionist can speak different languages aside Italian and this improves good communications.Customer friendliness is a must for the staffs of the hotel.
Laundry is satisfactory.Breakfast is as early as you you expect and of varieties. The manager is very welcoming, friendly and approachable, assisting in finding places of interest to visit.
There is also a vast space for party throwing, graduation get together, birthday celebrations and other social gatherings.
